    Amazingly clean car. Even the transfer case looks new. It looks like a left hand drive car, but when you’re driving it, you’re on the right side driving…? Great trick video. What did you do to factory air filter? Dual air bags! I also noticed the new fuel damper. Looks great.

    How did it go from a left side drive to a right side drive? 🤔 Is there a glitch in the matrix? 😳

    What's this short but clear "squich" sound just right after the car turn on...?
    I had for a while the exact same scary sound on my NA 84 163CV, it came randomly when I started the car... any thoughts???

      Not sure, it was pretty chilly out when I filmed this so maybe a belt was a little sticky or something like that. Not my car so I don't know though

      I have an 86. These cars are known to leak oil a little. Oil from the front main seal will drip in the accessory belt causing it to squeak for a short time until the oil is gone. It can be dealt with but probably not worth doing until there’s something else you need done as well. Nice car!!

      The brief squeal at engine start is the ribbed belt for the alternator and AC compressor. That can happen when it’s really cold outside or if the belt is a little loose (or a little too old and dry). The belt should be tightened to a deflection of 2mm using moderate thumb pressure from the lower span.

      @rossstoneman832 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@NC944er that sounds reasonable and easy to check. My car is leaking oil and the squeak goes away after a moment or two. I’m going to check the tension today. Love your channel BTW. 😊

      That noise is the alternator belt slipping a bit until the regulator cuts down the charging!!!😀😀😀😀🚘🚘🚘🍺🍺🍺🍺

    Ithink you might have a small exhaust leak towards the headers

    • @idmsmedia
      @idmsmedia  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not totally sure to be honest, this isn't my car but I know it's had an aftermarket turbo installed with an assortment of other supporting mods so I'd guess its some kind of indicator for one of those things. Good question though I'll try and find out

    Very clean 944 but I don’t think it’s a original turbo ? but nevertheless very beautiful car.

    • @idmsmedia
      @idmsmedia  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Are you saying you don't think the turbo is original or you don't think this was a Turbo model? Because yes the turbo itself is aftermarket but the car is a 944 Turbo

    • @steviedee71
      @steviedee71 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@idmsmedia I don’t think it’s a turbo car from the factory from when I remember they used to say turbo in between the two brake lights but I’m not 100% on this ? Maybe a different years or models from different countries.

    • @idmsmedia
      @idmsmedia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh yeah I know what you mean, this isn't my car and these aren't really my area of expertise but I think it was model year specific and if this one had the badge it would've been in the top right corner just under the spoiler. I believe it was debadged by the previous owner though. Either way it is a factory Turbo model as stated by the very reputable auction house it was purchased from (hint: 5 letters begins and ends with M)

    • @artmchugh5644
      @artmchugh5644 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The turbo cars never said " TURBO" between the lights . That was an aftermarket panel 😀😀😀🚘🚘🚘🚘🍺🍺🍺

    • @NC944er
      @NC944er ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@steviedee71 You’re thinking of the reflective panel known as a “heckblende,” which was not a factory option. Some dealers added these pieces at the time to differentiate the cars and enthusiasts are split pretty far apart as to its “correctness” on the 944. For me, while it is nostalgic of the period, it doesn’t belong on the 944.
