Great design! I think the square fuzzy one is my favorite too! I would do them with string around the button instead of bands around them because rubber hardens and breaks over time. Even wrapping string or thread around them would be pretty quick. I will definitely look for some of that scrim!
Yes twine would last longer but I was thinking why there's lots of wire that doesn't rust and that would last for a long time then you could make the wire longer and wrap some green flower tape around it and make a flower that has a stem oh boy you really inspired me can't wait to make these I wish I could show them to you
to attach to a hat thread the thread throw the button before you use the rubber band then its easy to attach with a couple of stitches I love this idea so easy
I’m a dressmaker for many years & I’m thinking… no sew, no glue??? This is an awesome idea!! My 10 yr old granddaughter is very artistic… loves to paint & create. She’s learning to sew but sometimes holding petals together to sew or glue are a bit tricky. She will love this! Thank you, Katie
You could use pennies and call them 'good luck' flowers. Dimes would be thinner. I think also, you could have the button side up and glue on some beautiful tiny glistening beads to the bump. I do like all of them even the heavy fabric. I think on those id pull the fabric towards the center and let them be fluffy, and then perhaps put some tiny beads on wire pins and make some stamens for the sparkle in the center...
I really like the flowers this way as they are easier to make than the ones where you need to do the running stitch along the fabric to shirt it. Thanks for the great idea.
Nothing mad about this lady ,the flowers are so nice and so easy she explained how to make them ,whilst showing the making of them . Very nice calming voice and does not rush whilst showing how to make them.very good indeed ❤😊
OH Tricia,I am so loving these frayed flowers,I have made a few now and love them all,so thank you so much for the inspirational tutorials that you share.Hugs, Elaine xx
I believe most geniuses are at some point considered bonkers Sis, and this flower is pure freakin' genius!!!! So shabby beautiful! Damn! Now I have to go get some of those stupid bands, lol! TFS :) Huge Hugs xx d.
These flowers are just fabulous love the fabric, both kinds. I have a craft night with my two teenage granddaughters I can’t wait to work on these flowers with them they will love it
You could put them on clips for your hair, or male fridge magnets from them, use them to decorate other pieces you make. How about on a purse or wall hanging. On a headband or a lamp shade The sky's the limit
Absolutely beautiful!! Using a button for a base is brilliant!!! The no sewing involved just blasted me away!!! Very very creative!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!! God Bless p.s. I too love the square as well.
Just remember the magnet would have to be glue don. Magnets will not stick on fridge with something over the magnet. So, yea, could glue magnet on back. And of course you could use a magnet in stead of a button. But, if you want it on fridge, have to glue another magnet, on material. Magnet needs to be bare.
Bonkers, you are a genius, i love them, now if it was not 2.44 AM and i had loom bands ??? threw out last week, :( but Tricia these are great, i just cant go wrong, lol. But i still love the floral one just adore it, Big Hugs and have a great weekend xxx Love Dede xxx
***** not sure about genius but I am bonkers, honestly Dede these are sooooooooo easy and I do surprise myself sometimes, you will love making these!!!!!! so quick and fun, just added a few to a project and they take hot glue fine :). Have a great weekend, huge hugs Tricia xxx
Absolutely great and quick way to make shabby flowers .I like colors so I will use pink and some tulle fabrics shaping the ends into circles or triangles for carnations. As for the glue I will used cold ones like fabric glue glue liquid which dries pretty fast and clear .Thank you for sharing .
you are an absolute genius! i love the simplicity. i am a wanna be crafter who is all thumbs and so desperately need easy tutorials and projects like this! thank you, i feel so motivated! love it love it love it!!!!!!!
I was watching your video and I was amazed by what you can make, so beautiful a flower, absolutely beautiful flowers and your not crazy you are a very special person who DESERVES a medal because these are REALLY BEAUTIFUL. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR THOUGHTS AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL WORK
What a fabulous idea I was going to garden tomorrow but I will be looking for loom bands instead. Thank you for sharing this simple fantastic idea of yours.
these flowers...the square ones...is so...oh...beautiful!! for your information my dear Tricia, I have been watching your videos, mainly the flowers part, for hundreds.....hunderds of time...it is just so so beautiful! I hope you would not mind to upload it again whenever you want to make new fabric flowers. your master piece of fabric flowers is my inspiration!!! Hugs :)
I love this idea, I used a linen cloth I didn’t have any elastics at the time so I used a very this twine and I love how it turned out because I could fray the ends. Shabby lovely.thanks for sharing
Not at all bonkers, Elaine. Your flowers are lovely; and what a nice craft to teach to some young girls for hair adornments, or to decorate just about anything! Thanks for sharing!
Yeah, you're crazy all right! Crazy like a fox. So so clever! Those flowers are gorgeous!! I am certainly going to try making some. Thanks so much for sharing!!!
What a brilliant idea. Thank you very much going to try it today. You must venture into silk flowers. I may recommend a Japanese book used you will enjoy that style too.
WOW!!! Amazing!!! I know this was posted years ago but still soooo good!!! The flowers are so beautiful ans really easy. Tanks for sharing your talent.
Thank you so much for sharing I have to make about 250 flowers for my daughters wedding. I've already started but I'm going to switch techniques and finish in quarter of the time. You are a life saver.
Oh, I do love these so much. Who knew you could make flowers without sewing or gluing. Thank you so much for showing us how to make these beautiful flowers
I am so glad I watched this video I tried making these flowers straight away and it is so easy I ended up making heaps! I used twist ties or wire that can twist around itself instead of the bands as I think rubber bands may eventually deteriorate and it works a treat. Then I hot glued some brooch pins I bought in a pack from a local $2 shop and voila I have heaps of beautiful looking brooches. Thank you so much for posting this I am rapt with my flowers.
You are amazing I love all ur ideas, just when I thought I've seen the best you throw another awesome way to make a flower! You are not bonkers you are awesome!
I have been watching your videos for 3 years, now. I love them all but your flower tutorials are my very favorite. Thank you for sharing your "bonkers", flowers! You are soo very creative!
This idea is absolutely BRILLIANT!!! I couldn't imagine what you were going to do and was laughing and saying "OMG that's amazing"...over and over. You make the most wonderful shabby flowers and have inspired me to experiment. Now I need to figure out what the heck to do with them all. LOL
Hi Tricia thanks for the informative straightforward and kind instructions with all that you do. I love this flower. I tried this and it is so easy and you can manipulate it so that it looks amazing each time - like you I found softer fabrics look more shabby but it even works with wide ribbon. It is definitely my go to flower when time is short - great result every time. Loving what you do is so rewarding and I can tell you really DO love your craft. Greetings from Western Australia.
So easy ...who knew ... been looking for a simple way of making flowers this is perfect .. would be cute to put on a headband or gifts ... might try a small zip tie to see if that works instead of bands ....thank you for sharing your talent
Rebecca Sankey Thank you so much , you are so very kind :) Congratulations on your wedding and have lots of fun making the flowers. TFW hugs Tricia xxx
What a fun idea for a party or wedding decoration!! I love all the different ones. I can tell you had so much fun making these. I will have to get me some rubber bands and fabric and play myself lol. I think my favorite is the square one as well. Thanks again....Sharon xo
love;ly flowers remind me of my nan who was born in 1881, she would use a button and twist her stocking around it and turn over to keep them up when she couldn't find her spenders Chel XXX
Oh my gosh Tricia how clever!! I can't believe how fast they are to make as well! Thank you for being kind enough to share it. A person could make a lot of these in no time at all. God bless you and your family :-) and thank you for sharing! Betty xxx
Betty Doerr Thank you so much Betty, you are so very kind to me :) I am loving making these flowers they are so quick and easy :) Huge Hugs and god bless Tricia xxx
Hi, these flowers are beautiful and you are certainly not "bunkers"....I have tons of loom bands from my granddaughter, (looming faded out) so I will be making a lot of these flowers. I love the lightweight shabby ones, I bet you can glue them back to back with a piece of ribbon between them and make a lovely hanging ornament for the Christmas tree....even a pretty corsage for Mothers Day or for any occasion. Thank you for sharing you talent and creativity, I look forward to seeing more of your videos, God bless, Michelle
I love these flowers! You know, when you turned it over to show the "back" with the button, I thought that would make a great top, with the button nub in the center. I especially liked the ones you did with the squares. I'm loving your channel. So glad I found it!
Great design! I think the square fuzzy one is my favorite too! I would do them with string around the button instead of bands around them because rubber hardens and breaks over time. Even wrapping string or thread around them would be pretty quick. I will definitely look for some of that scrim!

Yo haría lo mismo. Pero esta chica es genial.
I've been making my grandbabies hair bows and I love the shabby chic and this just changed my life....I'm ready to go to the fabric store NOW lol
to attach to a hat thread the thread throw the button before you use the rubber band then its easy to attach with a couple of stitches I love this idea so easy
You’re not bonkers, you’re brilliant!!!!

How smart are you!! Truly the coolest flower sit I have ever seen!
Instead of a rubber band you can always use a cotton string and tightly wrap it around make a knot and the heat of the glue gun won't be an issue.
I really like the flowers this way as they are easier to make than the ones where you need to do the running stitch along the fabric to shirt it. Thanks for the great idea.
You are a genius!! I’m so glad you share your fantastic creative genius with us !! Thank you and God Bless you!!
