If we didn’t reappoint Robins, I can honestly say we’d have probably dropped out of the football league. Bonkers how we’ve found ourselves potentially within touching distance of the Premiership again. 😎 👏
Our history well put together and described clearly. As a supporter since the halcyon days of Jimmy Hill I've been on cloud nine, and as low as a snakes belly. But love the club through it all and will always be there come what may. PUSB
70/71 my first game. Not the halcyon days, but good enough through thick and mainly thin. Our history stretches back past Jimmy Hill, to the Bantams and our potential in the 1930's. I'm a Hinckley Tinhatter, while my Dad and Gramp were Holbrooks. But what always struck me about Cov is the difference between LCFC supporters and Cov. Leics mates were always 5th+ generation Leicester people, Cov people would always say their ancestors had arrived after 1900 from x,y or z (mine Pompey). 10th biggest UK city, and the only 1 with only 1 team. A huge potential we should have been in Div1 before 1939 with Frith. PUSB.
Love to get to know the history of a team before a huge match this Saturday. Unfortunately, I am cheering Luton Town for promotion, but may the best team win
Qpr fan was at the game on Saturday and I think you was unlucky to go in at half time not in the lead, but I think we are bit stronger then you and this showed in the second half. But I think you will have a good season and will be a problem to many clubs this season, and with a good support behind you it will help.
Missed this on release but you need to do an updated video over the summer! Considering what's happened in the last two seasons. Being a Cov fan is never dull is it?
Great video Matt, I was thinking top ten this season but I think we can sneak into the playoffs if we can take more of the chances we create, playing some great football at the moment.
Keep the great football and good results coming and the fans will return. We want to see the likes of O’hare and Gyokeres perform with this brand of entertainment. Things are looking up for us. Love the vlogs btw
First game 70/71. Cov have been so unlucky. Close to Div1 in 1939 under Frith, then 20 more years up and down until Jimmy Hill saw the potential. But the owners wouldn't back him for a longer contract. 10th largest UK city, and only 1 club. A huge potential support base. We need owners who LOVE the city and the club. PUSB.
What a great video mate! You are also on the rise! By the way, I have so much faith and positivity that I have bet on Cov to get promoted. What will be will be!
@@mikeoxmall5923 I’m a cov fan but it’s just obvious we aren’t as good as teams like West Brom Bournemouth and other clubs but we will get in top 10 100%
If Robins were to get City promoted it would be interesting to compare the squad, finances and club and infrastructure City would be taking into the highest division then and the hypothetical 21/22 promotion. Great way to capture the differences between the old 1st division then and premiership now. City then and now. At a time when there are debates on parachute payments and reducing the number of sides in the top division. Would love to see some analysis on the threat or benefit to the club if they were to get promoted this season.
Coventry City are currently very comfortably sitting in a Championship playoffs slot. It would be really good to see the Sky Blues return to the promised land aka as the English Premier League. I honestly don't think that a 2nd place automatic promotion place behind Bournemouth is beyond them. If they somehow aren't able to finish in an automatic promotion place then 3rd, 4th or 5th should be achievable if they can keep up their good form of late. A 4-1 home win over Fulham recently was just the sort of result I am talking about when I say good form.😜
Love the video. One issue are we ready for the prem, IF it happened. Don't get me wrong it would be great. I don't don't think we are ready off the pitch. However it may see sisu finally cash in and f off 😂. The step between here and prem is rediculous to compete, I personally feel if it comes to early, we will only get relegated at first season and see ourselves in decline again. Or do a Leicester. Lol. Saying all this it would be amazing, imagine a play off final at Wembley in the championship 🤣. #PUSB
If SISU keep their mucky paws off the promotion payment and Robins is given free range to wheel and deal in the transfer market we may at least be able to keep up in the premiership the first season then who knows. Robins has proved to be a very shrewd manager when it comes to getting bang for buck for players and we still have a very good crop of youngsters rising up through the academy...just got to hope and pray.
If not this year then promotion next season. In the nine games so far I reckon only QPR could be considered a stronger team overall. We will all know more after Luton and Fulham. Love the video Matt.
We don't know what SISU's plans are but with Robins in charge anything can happen, he's magic! I just hope that if we found ourselves pushing for the playoffs come December that they would throw a bit of money at a real push for promotion. My worry is that eventually Robins will be snapped up by another club and we'll start to sink again.
I know we've had a great start. But I'll admit that even getting into the playoffs will probably be out of our reach. I think between 12th and 15th would still show that we're improving season by season. PUSB
I totally believe in the promisedland fortress cbs.take promotion easy grow crowds.start going away season ticket sales grow I'm 55 .we are moving in the right direction. Mark Robins .has got us buzzing fans team self believe growing every week. The big time is back .its arrived but a huge crowd.dare I say new owner the sky blues the limit. Like England we still believe well CTID. Pusb sba.
Checkatrade was the turning point
Appears to have given them a bit of much needed belief in themselves.
If we didn’t reappoint Robins, I can honestly say we’d have probably dropped out of the football league.

You took your chances and we didn't and that was the difference which in this league is a big one
A great even handed video Matt - you did so well to cover such a period in the time. LAST PUSB Stout Of The Vanilla

Go up, lose alot, go down with parachute payments. Good in the long term.
