We hope you enjoyed this video! Although for us Hamburg is the most beautiful city in the world, it might not be everyone's first choice 😁 So what's the most beautiful city in the world in your opinion? Let us know down below! ❤️
Dresden and Salzburg are the most beautiful cities to me because i like the baroc architecture, but Hamburg is the coolest one to go out and chill and exentric museums and harbour vibes. 🙂
I am heading to Hamburg in a couple of weeks with my two teenagers. We are taking a self guided tour from Hamburg up to Norway. We will stop in different places along the way. I really appreciate this video because I love to travel my kids do as well and we do it on a budget.last May we walked through Italy and a very small budget and we loved it!
You can fool others but not me 😂 where is the 25 cent pfand money in the sum ? Loved the video! Motivated to explore the city this summer all over again ❤
Hello! We’re coming to Hamburg in a October and found this video really helpful and entertaining so wanted to pop down here to the comments to say thanks! 😊
Yes, we should have mentioned that in the video, but we added it to the video description 😁 The reason we wanted to show the online booking option is because it can get really full on the weekends and tickets are limited, so queues can get really long. Might not have been the best decision on a budget tour though 😅
Dunno if i'm one of the few here, but like it's so refreshing to see a realistic video - you're not trying to hype up the things you see and do (well "the most beautiful city in the world" is an exception that proves the rule xD). I'm so tired of watching videos of people being like "this is amazing, that is marvelous" kinda thing. Plus, you guys have great chemistry and explain everything very well. Really good job!
Thank you for the kind words! 😊 We always try to show an authentic experience (maybe with some stylistic exceptions 😁), so we're happy you enjoyed the video!
You are so lucky that you went to Hamburg. It has been one of the important places I want to visit soon. Thnks for sharing. Like and support from Bangalore
Every time I see a video about Hamburg, one thing I've noticed is that local residents seem to love the city. It's refreshing to see. Greetings from Kandy, Sri Lanka.
How surprising it was to hear the familiar names of Altona & Steinstrasse after so long...since 1977 in fact...! Good video to watch You match well Well done and thanks...!
We're glad our video was helpful! 😊 We've also still got a lot to see and we've lived in Hamburg for many years 😁 So sometimes it's good to explore your city like a tourist.
Thank you! We don't have any good tips unfortunately, but there are pages like "www.freiwillig.hamburg" if you're lookin for volunteering positions. Not sure how spontaneous these positions are though. Hope you have a great time in Hamburg!
Very nice video in a relaxed mood , and 10 euros is possible, i like Hamburg many things to see there, good for going out and to chill , also nice architecture but Dresden is the most beautiful one from Germany but Dresden don't have this special vibe from Hamburg. Thank you for the video great job🙂👍
Love ur videos....i am Lebanese-Canadian and i go to visit Germany for 2 weeks every year (if i can) to visit my aunt...i love Germany so much...the more i go there the more i love it....i remember my aunt's daughter asking me where i want to go for tourism i reply "i don't care....it is more then enough that i am in Germany" you can drop me anywhere i'll be happy 😀
You can enter the city hall for free and visit the beautiful ground floor. Only for the guided tour you have to pay. Also there is an impressive patio, you can visit for free. The entrance is on the left side of the city hall.
For public transport you need the "HVV" app to buy tickets, but we often use Google Maps to look up the fastest connection. For the opera house there is no app, but you can buy tickets on the Elbphilharmonie website for fast access. You can also visit the plaza for free by standing in line at the ticket counter of the Elbphilharmonie 🙂
@@ZoeandSimon Thank you so much for your answer :) I really like Hamburg and are going on summer holidays to Hamburg. I like feeling the vibe of the city and do what the citizens do, when they go out in the town. Not only go sightseeing. I will try to find a little art workshop (not professional, but relaxing and cozy) for a day in the end of July in Hamburg. Maybe some stand up too. I understand German, so there are no problems. :)
Nice! You can take the ferries that are included in public transportation tickets. The routes should be shown on Google Maps, too or in the HVV app (HVV is the public transportation company). For example ferry number 62 as we did in the video from Landungsbrücken to Fischmarkt or even further to the city beach. Then there are also paid boat tours that do trips called "Hafenrundfahrt", which are harbor tours and tours of Hamburg's canals. You can find those companies at Landungsbrücken too and buy the tickets there.
I just got back from Hamburg. Was my first time visiting. It's honestly the nicest city ive ever been to. Made Colonge look like a total shithole. Hamburg was so clean and safe. Never smelt piss one time while walking around the center and oldtown. Gorgeous. Would recommend anyone wanting to visit Germany to go there.
Thanks, yeah in this case it was more of a challenge to see what we can come up with. We'd also recommend spending a bit more, probably getting a daily pass for public transport and of course enjoying a lot more food 😁
To me the most beautiful German speaking city is Vienna (in Austria). Which city in Germany do you really consider to be the most beautiful city in Germany and will you do a video on it? 😊
Yeah, Vienna is really nice! As we're from Hamburg we're quite biased, so we do think that Hamburg is the most beautiful German city 😁 But there are loads of other great cities in Germany that we like as well. We'd love to film more videos in Munich, for example, and also explore more smaller cities in the south. And while Berlin isn't that beautiful overall, it has loads to offer, especially when it comes to history and food, so we'll be filming some video there, too 🙂
My aunt found out that a Jacob Wolfe and his brother stowed away on a ship from Hamburg to the colonies (now USA) IN 1701. The brother died on the voyage.
nice country and ,please and please be careful about natural disaster in your country but i wish you are fine and have a nice day with peace and have a good healthcare and going an oher country and no death in your country
Well I need to say this for anyone who travels on a low budget, that there is no obstacle getting in the metro and using s bahn and i did not see any inspector even on my way to airport
Yes it's a good point - it's a controversial decision to pay for a slot when the budget is limited and the alternative is paying nothing at all 😁 We wanted to show this option of booking a slot online because it can get very busy on the weekend and queues can get very long, as tickets are limited. But we added that piece of information to the video description, as we should have mentioned that it's possible to visit the plaza for free! And investing in more Kiezmische is always a good idea 😁
The statement " most beautiful city in the world " shows clearly that you neither have seen much of Germany, neither of Europe and sure not much of this world - I have seen a lot, even Hamburg and can only disagree, it is absolutely not true! For starters go to Monschau/Eifel, then maybe to Colmar/France, Rothenburg o.d. Tauber... to list them all would take ages! 😉
You shouldn't take that statement too seriously 🙂 "Most beautiful city in the world" is a common saying that is used by people that live in Hamburg, so that's why we included it in the video. Although we do think that Hamburg is one of the most beautiful cities we know, we are very biased. Of course there are lots of very beautiful cities in the world and we don't think that you could actually give this title to any city. Mainly because as with everything, the beauty of a city is very subjective. What we will say, however, is that if you're really trying to analyse a city's beauty, you can't just look at the most pretty spots in town, but should instead try to look at the city as a whole. And although Hamburg has some very pretty spots in our opinion, we also think that the city has a great balance of everything - ranging from architecture, nature, culture and food to rivers, lakes and a beach. This mix makes Hamburg very beautiful to us, but we're not forcing anyone to agree with us either 😁
We probably need a psychiatrist, but for different reasons 😁 We love Hamburg, but we're also biased as it's our home town. It is a beautiful city though, have you been? What are some cities that you think are beautiful?
We hope you enjoyed this video! Although for us Hamburg is the most beautiful city in the world, it might not be everyone's first choice 😁 So what's the most beautiful city in the world in your opinion? Let us know down below! ❤️

I lived in Hamburg from November 1946 to the end of June 1957, that is when I moved to America. Hamburg is very beautiful.

isn't Elbe Philharmonie free? just need to wait 2-3 minutes and then you get the tickets for free at the window
