Our problem was that after relegation we were left with players on 5 year contracts on £50,000 plus a week, who weren't particularly bothered about playing for us. First season in the Championship exacerbated this problem. MON started clearing out the dead wood but to a large extent, manager's hands were tied with these 5 year contracts. Alex Neil has managed to remove the last rotten branches and done a complete rebuild on just over £4 million.
A remarkable achievement.
Vinegal & Hoever & Johnson grabbed the headlines yesterday but I was particularly impressed with Willmott at the back. Ben Pearson's endless graft & the linkage of Edna Stevens, Johnson & Vinegal. Nice to see Jacob nick a goal at the end too. A player who actually does more for the team off the ball than on it. Fantastic start. Well done Stoke.

Im liking the lookof our keeper this season, i feel like it let us down abit last season. We were making opportunities and controlling the pitch but our keeper was letting the ball get past when he really shouldnt have, its nice to see the keeper doing something
