Cyclops's durability comes from Concentrated Energy. That is why he received a nerf in the spell vamp granted by items (reduced into half of the original %) because he is too strong with his spammable skills.
Tbh that nerf barely did anything, Concentrated Energy also gave Cyclops 700 HP, while his base HP is already higher than most mages. And with the Negative Armor by Genius Wand, Cyclops is secretly meta. He's more effective as a jungler rather than a mage or side too tbh. Once he snowballs it's going to be hard to stop him.
@@shinhikaru yep. You're definitely correct with this one mate. Looking at Elgin's gameplay, I cant help but feel "whut?" as his build is putting Concentrated Energy as optional item which I think, must be a core item for Cyclops.

@@biladd8360 I'd say Concentrated Energy is better for the second core item if Cyclops is played as a Jungler, because of the new Jungle adjustment where more HP = more Damage for creeps. Concentrated Energy is also a sustain item for Cyclops since he's technically played by close range. But you're right tho, Concentrated Energy is Cyclops' Core Item.

Cyclops is one of my main heroes this season because he’s op when it comes to damage and cd reduction from his passive. I use him a lot as a mid laner or a side laner, I don’t like to use him as a jungler because I’m not used to it

cyclops damage is crazy in the late game, as long as the enemy is long range or semi melee. other than that hes pretty weak to backline killer due to almost no mobility. as long as you know how to position, he's pretty op
Me too. I main cyclops already long time ago, but then stop using him after he got nerfed. And started to use him again from last season. He might lack area damage but he still can deal a lot of damage with his passive. Enchanted talisman and concentrated energy is my main item for sustain. The rest build is depending on the situation.
People underestimate his hp, like he's one of the tankiest mages and builds regen as part of his build

Thats why her concentration energy its a signature item to sustain more long in a war,second skill have very good sync witn concentrate energy to replenish your life rapidly to full bar hp so u can always dance with the enemy hehe
For the record, Silvanna is also one of most high HP if moontoon didnt nerf her

Jawhead is one of the most annoying hero for me.....He builds attack, he can one combo and still be tanky as hell, he use tank build, he can still easily kill not only squishy. But other thought hero while still being a tank😂😂

As a Cyclops Main, I used 3 items that reduces CD namely, Magic Shoes, Enchanted Tailsman and Calamity Reaper/Lightning Truncheon/Fleeting Time because he's powerful when he has 45% CD Reduction
Then I use Concentrated Energy for Lifesteal, And Genius Wand and Divine Glaive for Magic PEN for additional damage.
I sometimes use defense items depending on the fight if they have many physical heroes I use physical defense items while Magic defense items when the enemy has many mages
Bruh don't let that little guy strong or you'll regret it at late game

I gotta try this build. I used to build Cyclops with full CD (45% - boots, talisman, lightning truncheon), concentrated energy, genius wand and ice queen wand.
Good Magic defense Lowered,Lifesteal,Decent damage,
Lightning Truncheon.. I think it's better to change this into Devine Glaive instead of Lightning Truncheon

I think concentrated energy is a core item for cyclops since his skills is low cooldown he can just spam it and he will just regen and regen, ive used it in my games and its really helpful, makes it even better because cyclops owns it (i think)
unfortunately, i'm a bad jungler, so i always play him in midlane. when i rotate, i always keep his 2nd skill active to make sure i can secure kills since it's auto aim

his second skill acts as "shield" espcially when he has concetrated energy. cyc can pull off the uno reverse card perfectly against assassins

Enchanted Talisman + Impure Rage is insanely good for cyclops in my opinion.
For me it's Mystery Shop because Cyclops needs a lot of item before turn into beast

I love Cyclops! I never use him as a jungler though but my friend uses him as such and it was rather effective especially with the purple buff and the lithowanderer which kind of resolve his excessive mana consumption.

Cyclops actually has a very insane sustainability even if you only build concentrated energy w/out def. items.
That item its a must for cyclop because the sustain benefit
And i use to plus that sustain with ice queen wand to,the slow effect its very useful for in out life harvest from enemy hehe also can slow down agile assasin,mm
Can we please not hype Cyclops' META-ness? Moonton might see this and nerf him real hard.
Cyclops is good at jungling but he needs to be assisted by a tank if he is getting invaded because he can't defend himself at the early game because he will run out of mana if he tries to defend it.
Even jungler hylos cant fight invasion alone, but if your tank and mage helps, its a 3 v 2

Although you play quite well Elgin you forgot to use bloody retribution since you have defense item and magical item that give 700 hp

I use him as a jungler. Easy to use and useful skills for jungle role.
I hope moontoon isn't gonna nerf him, I've been using him since day one and I got his epic skin on my bday.
Nice. I solo main cyclops from last season (till mythic glory) and this. Same like you said i also not used being a jungler if there is no good tank around. He doesn't have a escape skill and squish early game makes him hard to jungle without proper support.
My build is defensive with dominance Ice + Oracle/Brute force. Im an aggressive player and always want my spells to be in the enemy's face.
ProTip: Concentrated Energy works so well with Cyclops because his Skill 2 and 3 are single target, giving you full spell vamp per hit.
So that's why I always see a Cyclops user using jungle role.
Cyclop are a mage who can be jungle if got situation when nobody wont jungle,he a versatile fighter mage honestly
Since the update were cyclops was buffed I started using him. And he started to be my first main core in the game cous I realized his very buff dependent
Cyclops is also one of the most durable mages. Compared to other heroes in mage role he receives more health when he levels up
And with her signature item concentate energy hp loss its no issue for him

Concentrated energy is def item as well,it regens you like bloodlust axe.And since Cyclops can spam skills,its a great def item for him

As a Cyclops main I have notice something wrong with your explanation of his ult not to be a critic or anything his Ult does not effect damage the longer it gets to the target the damage is still the same even if more magic you build the damage is not effected by the distance it's travels it only effects how long the immobilizing effects last

I've been doing cyclops gold lane for a while now. He can fast clear wave and then snowball gank other lanes fast and then back to gold lane. Have a 84% wr this season with him.
If you find yourself running out of mana with enchanted talisman, build an item that increases your mana pool. Enchanted talisma regens a percentage of your mana so the higher your mana pool, the better the effect of enchanted talisman. It regens 15% every 10 seconds so if you have 2000 mana, it gives you 300. If you increase mana to 3000, it gives 450.

Elgin, there is a trick to deal maximum damage of your 2nd skill to an enemy hero. All you have to do is basic attack on that certain enemy, and once you activated your 2nd skill, it won't affect the enemy minions nearby.
