What an amazing talent she is. Julia sported a wide variety of looks during the show’s run that didn’t always flatter her appearance but her personality always made her irresistible. Seinfeld had a lot of very attractive female actresses playing the various girlfriends and romantic interests for the guys but Julia was never outshone.

It was brutal early on. I mean the show is about nothing but when they hit their stride she wasn't really acting anymore. That's why they are so likable. They don't stray too far from who they are. Especially Julia. We could definitely hang.
I just Googled the magician, he passed away in 2015. Obituary is a must read. Guy lived an interesting life of service and joy it seems; mentioned he was with US Postal Service for 20 yrs. before retiring to do magic full time.

I have been in love with her since I was a kid and my parents would watch Seinfeld. A classic beauty.
The way she moves her tongue in her mouth, like Elaine does trips me out, and of course she always been beautiful, her character and acting simply amazing.
The biggest magic trick is that David Copperfield had a higher billing on this show.
And the biggest magic trick that David Copperfield performed was getting Claudia Schiffer to marry him.

I was traveling for work around the year 2000 and I saw a James Taylor concert at The Hollywood Bowl. Julia was sitting across the aisle from me and during the intermission I got the courage to say hi. She shook hands with me and could not have been nicer....and yes...she's ridiculously pretty in person while not on tv also.

Season 3, 4, 5, etc.... absolutely legendary. The pinnacle of comedy.
I remember as a teenager how cute she was when she was a cast member on SNL back in the early 80s. She did one sketch as Marie Osmand where she made out with Donny Osmond while they were singing a duet.I remember the audience losing it when they started kissing.
Never once used the word “goes”…used “says”…ultimate class!
I heard "goes" several times.

Seinfeld had been on for 5 years (it was #3 at the time of this broadcast) but this was JLD's FIRST appearance on Letterman AND she was the THIRD guest?! This is testimony to how challenging it is for women, no matter how exceptionally talented or profitable, to be recognized for their work.

@@40yearoldman They were SPECIALISTS: so highly developed in their respective fields that their work can't be duplicated (although, Carol has done some fine dramatic work, also. See the TV movie FRIENDLY FIRE). Hollywood history, especially, comedy, is built on the work of Specialists: think Chaplin/Keaton/Lloyd. "Versatility" is overrated. There is a great deal of merit behind the phrase 'jack of all trades, and master of none'.

This is from 1994 and Seinfeld was just excelling to the #1 show on TV. People forget that Seinfeld was not a hit at first as it had a cult following. They went head to head against ‘Home Improvement’ in 1992 and got smoked in the ratings. Not until they took over ‘ Cheers’ timeslot did it attract the mass audience that made it the phenomenon it was by the mid 90’s.
