Eagles OTA news and highlights from Day 2 of practice in Philadelphia center around rookies Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean as the two young DBs impressed their fellow teammates. CB Darius Slay raved about DeJean and Mitchell’s speed and agility while also explaining why James Bradberry was absent from practice. Also, Saquon Barkley loved what he saw from Jalen Hurts these past few weeks and Kellen Moore’s new offensive system install looks great!

Slay a real leader man. He's really embraced the C. Been mix of same playful fun dude who came from Detroit while also stepping up and leading. At his lowest performance he's still one of the best DBs we've had here in a DECADE. We can only hope Mitchell and DeJean become a homegrown Slay. Them along with CJGJ + Rodgers returning... the DB room is STACKED beyond what I can remember since like Reggie Bush got his head taken off by Brown.

What Carter and Slay have to say about Vic is relatively meaningless for two reasons...1. They won't bad mouth or question their DC before the season even starts...2. It's literally the 2nd day of OTAs.
I think they play Baun in the middle because he's relatively undersized to play OLB in a 3-4...but he's still bigger and athletic enough to beat out Dean in the middle.

I love the way Philly wanted Slay gone and wanted to keep Bradberry and now we've just reversed completely. (I've never wanted to get rid of either)

Look I get Bradbury didn't play well last year but he's played good the rest of the time he's been here. He wasn't the only one that sucked last year , pretty much the whole defense sucked. They stuck him in the slot not to mention our DC's were dreadful.
