So how does Vic Fangio plan to use the new Corners? Also, Jalen Carter is looking scary with the plans this season on the D-Line. Reason not to is 1 nick is still the head coach lol. 2 centre and RG position. That is huge, replacing a future hall of famer is tough. 3 the melt down last year will still be on the players mind, so a slow start watch out. 4 asking D.white, N.dean and whomever else plays LBer , that could end up not working out. Rookies and younger players have to step up. Last losing Reddick is a huge loss to the defense, u need play makers in the NFL to win, who on this defense now is a true play maker?

I understand from a “you’re only as good as your last play/season” but people somehow easily forget that man was a top 3 Linebacker in the league less than 3 years ago and many considered thee best. I think people regurgitate what they hear from other people. Some people don’t think for themselves. This guy is going to show out. He is going to bounce back. He would be playing for a new deal. That’s incentive to play your best. Also another incentive is pride and competition! Never question someone’s ability to be better!

I think it’s insane that people keep using last year’s collapse as excuse to sleep on the Eagles this year.
Hands-down, the biggest issue from last year was coaching! I’m not sure what that says about Sirianni, but as long as he does not have “Yes men” at the coordinator positions this year, we’ll be in a much better spot.
I can’t say enough good things about the talent and leadership on this team with the coaches and players that we have.
I’m hoping that last year was just a blip on the radar. Keep letting the other people doubt us as we prepare to demolish the competition this year!

I totally understand that. I’m actually at the point where I don’t know what value Siriani is going to add this year. Seeing him act like a freaking child last year yelling at Chiefs fans and all that shit, along with saying egotistical and questionable things at press conferences, gives me major concerns. He is the architect of last year‘s failure. His ego led him to believe he could hire coaches with no experience on both sides of the ball when it came to the coordinator positions. However, that’s not even the biggest crime. The fact that he refused to admit there were problems and kept allowing shit to get worse and worse gives me great paws on his leadership abilities. I hate to say this, but I think in 2022 was a product of his coaching staff. Obviously, when he’s left his own devices shit falls apart. Last year looked like the first half of 2021 before he delegated playcalling to his coordinators.
His refusal to adapt and commit to absolute basic scheme and predictable stuff that wouldn’t even work in college is scary.
However, this year, he has two very experienced coordinators who probably have more pull than he does himself. I do think Siri is a lame duck head coach. The only way he keeps his job is if he to have the right people underneath him.
With all that being said his behavior last year resembled someone with an immature, ego, a propensity to focus only on the good things while at the same time ignoring the problems. You cannot do that in the NFL. He needs to get himself in check and he better not be yelling at fans and popping off at the press conferences, when he isn’t even making significant contributions to the teams successes
I absolutely love Slay's mindset especially his eagerness to help coach up Quinyon and the rest of the rookies! It's totally awesome to see him take on the mentor role and will not doubt help make our CB room one of the best there is!

I don’t understand the Slay hate at all. He never did anything wrong. He actually never SAID anything wrong either. So fans are allowed to do or say whatever they want and if Slay points out that his play wasn’t the problem (WHICH IT WASN’T) when people put his name on a trash can then he’s the problem? No. Slay is a great player and an optimist so seriously we should appreciate him.
Clearly the sweet spot for Jalen and his running is NOT BAILING OUT OF THE POCKET THE MOMENT SOMEONE BREATHES NEAR HIM. If Moore can get him to stand tall and step up in the pocket, that’ll be a huge win

People tend to forget Hurts has had literally 11 OC’s in 10 seasons all the way back to high school. Just food for thought. But taking my die hard Eagles fan bias away I really can’t start to even process where a defense even starts to try and game plan to
1. Contain Jalen Hurts
2. Contain Saquon running and receiving
3. Contain 2 top 10 WRs in the league (one of which is top 5)
4. Not overlook Dallas Goedert who is a Do-It-All type of TE that can absolutely be a weapon. Like where do you begin scheming against that lol and that’s not even including a the best offensive line in football 98% of the last 5 years lol and this is the most talent Kellen Moore has ever had control of and that should also scare defenses

Zac Baun might surprise you. sometimes these guys in different systems excel. the saints due to cap issues have let some players with potential go. I trust Fangio. if he thinks Baun can play then that's too bad for dean.

I agree that they are trying to protect Jalen hurts since they paid him. However, i think he should still run the ball at times because if not, defense will no longer look at him as a threat. You see how that turned out last season!

Gotta say, after that horrible loss to Tampa to end that horrible disjointed and floundering season, Howie has done an amazing job turning things around and getting the team back in the action for the 2024 season....SO excited for it to start. I am most excited for the depth all the way through the roster. When was the last time every position had depth all the way through special teams? 2017-18 and 2018-19
They have no wide receiver depth. If Brown or Smith were to go down they have no proven wide receiver who you can say will be productive. It's because Howie hasn't been good at drafting wide receivers .

Slay is doing exactly what is needed. He knows he's on the tail end of his career. He still needs to be respected in games but is slowly hitting the age limit. Helping train the rookies the way he is...that only gives me more respect.
Slay held the line in a questionable secondary several years now for us. He has a spot on The Dude list in my opinion.
I don't remember a year with the hype this big this early.
Would be great to have transparency on what exactly was up with Hurt's knee.

Now that we have Barkley as RB1 there are very few situations where I’d even consider calling a Hurts running play. Yes don’t take his legs away from him but we do not need to see designed run plays for him half as much as we did last year GO BIRDS 🦅

Jalen is an incredible, effective QB and has impressive speed.So he should run the ball when he needs to, but not too much. He shouldn't be put in a position of getting serious injury as a result of consistently running the ball.
Reid has McNabb and Mahomes running the ball at the end of the 2nd quarter and in the 4th. I'd say limit Hurts to running at these times to keep him healthy for the postseason run.
I know one thing for certain two things for sure is it going to be extra hard getting tickets for the eagle home games this year.

I think it's a mistake to use dejean in the return game. He's too important to the secondary to risk getting hurt. Besides you have so many other guys that can return punts and kicks. Like Isaiah Rodgers and Paris Campbell.
Rodgers and Campbell will be starters. Cooper will be a backup so better to get him involved in the return game
