- Here I describe the way I found you can use Jenga pieces for Dungeons and Dragons and other tabletop role playing games. They’re simple and easy to use for building dungeons and there are a decent amount of possibilities for what you can do with them.

When I first started playing D&D in 1976 , I used dominoes. On the side as walls, on end as a door and flat as stairs and even horses!
That's awesome! Dominoes must hold a special place in your heart with those memories. Thanks for sharing!
You must have a wealth of insight into the beginnings of our hobby.
I'm using dominoes RIGHT F NOW and it's great
Man, I searched for jenga and d&d with the idea of building a fun puzzle with it, but THIS is a great idea!
It's been working out great for me so far!
I used to glue card board 'bricks' to the sides of jenga blocks, to make low walls for dungeons. I find incomplete and cheap sets at rummage and yard sales all the time
Aquarium Terrain at yard sales are great buys
I bought Lincoln logs and plan on painting them more realistic but they’re great for very basic houses
I used to have cabin set from those! I wish I kept it.
This is pretty cool. I have a box of jenga quake which is jenga but with an earthquake theme, and a lot of the pieces are grey which is perfect for dungeons
I'll have to look into that., Thank you!
I like it. Thx.
This is perfect because I bought a bunch of Dollar Store Jenga to use for D&D and just never have gotten around to it
If you want an easy grid underneath the blocks you could get a roll of the fancy wrapping paper that has a grid on the back. iirc its about an inch
I though of that before, but didn't find the right kind. Definitely something to keep in mind though. Great idea!
I use Ikea Mula 24 blocks in the same way. I bought 2 sets. They aren't expensive and very quick to build various terrain geometries. They are also in convenient inch sizes. (2x2, 2x4 etc.)
I'll have to look into those. They sound interesting!
@@zachariaravenheart Actually, it looks like maybe they don't sell them anymore. Sorry for the out of date advice. In general though, I suspect most blocks for toddlers coudl be good for this.
@@FriendlyDuergar-by7jm Aw. No worries.
Just brilliant!
Man. Makes me want to dungeon delve in a mine and use some Brio.
Thank you! This method has made me feel like a genius a couple times.
dude love your videos watched 2 other lookin forward to the future of your channel . Subscribed and bell is rung :)
I appreciate the support man! Hopefully I can get some higher quality vids out.
I found this via our discussion on nerd immersions video and this is actually really helpful... I have been looking for easier ways to set up dungeon maps other than drawing them
Glad to a help! Jenga is surprisingly useful. I also got some tavern tables made fr9m legos. Might make a vid on that at some point.

@@WindmilI I’ll get to work this weekend then!
@@WindmilI Turns out I'm too busy this weekend, but I will work on it tomorrow, or tonight. It should be up by this week.
@@zachariaravenheart no worries, I am looking forward to it :)
I use jenga blocks to build the dungeon walls. One day I'm going to get around to carving them to look like brick walls and paint them.
Nice! I use these, too, but these are great tips for it! Try using mini Jenga pieces for furniture and chests and such.
I'm glad I could help! I'm even still using these tricks today and my players like it.
Regular Jenga, mini Jenga, and wooden blocks from Dollar Tree make for the best budget dungeons. I've even gotten colored Jenga for things like Ice Wall, etc.
@@isaacwright90 wouldn't take much to paint them, either
Cheap paint and cheap brushes are usually just an aisle over in the dollar store 👍
They sell knock off Jenga blocks at dollar stores sometimes. Glue some card stock “bricks” on there and bam, immersion
I might have to look for that. Thank you!
👍
Use them as stairs
I have! They can work pretty well as stairs, but only as 15ft staircases from my experience.
If you know down a block, take 99 damage
Minecraft meets DND 😇
Low key. . .
Did your nail clippers roll a 1?
SOMEBODY definitely needs a few charisma points.
Thanks, can't unsee. Them is gnarly.
Jenga > Dwarven Forge
Low key. . .
It's way cheaper XD
@@zachariaravenheart true, but i would rather pay $2.5-$3.50 for a piece of Dwarven Forge, thanks
@@captenigma If I had the money, I would too, though looking at their website, I haven't found anything that cheap.
But still, I'd go for it.
@@zachariaravenheart the Caverns Core set is $3.26 per piece (35 pieces for $114), and the Dungeons Core set is $2.20 per piece (45 pieces for $99).
@@captenigma Oh, I see. I'm not so good at math anymore XD
Thanks for the clarification!
