Uncharted drake's fortune came in a bundle with the PS3, it was the first game I played there and my first platinum, I couldn't believe how good the game looked, I was like 15 years old, good memories. Great games (all 4 of them) can't recommend them enough
I came to Uncharted 2 by playing a used disk that had sat on my shelf a long time already. I couldn't get enough and had to find 1 and 3 and play them too. Adventure, travel, puzzles, and pseudo-history...My favorite genre! I even go back and play this type of game after a few years, like re-watching a favorite movie that I have forgotten the details of over time. Not too fond of the tacked on supernatural stuff...the same with Assassin's Creed series, and the newer Tomb Raider series.
These games were so much fun! Amy Henning wrote such great stories with these games! Nolan North was perfect casting too! I'm happy you finally got to play them! I agree, the slightly supernatural stuff was a little jarring at times, but still amazing overall.
Uncharted 2 was mind blowing at the time it was released i havent played it for years but i bet it still holds up very well. Shame the collection doesnt have the multiplayer in it. That too was really fun. Definitely the best umcharted in the series and only uncharted 4 comes close imo
Great job with the reviews! I haven't played them since they first came out, but all of the memories came flooding back. What a great series. I am a bit envious that you were able to play them for the first time. I have been trying to hold off until I bought a new OLED 4K screen before I replayed the 4K/60fps patched PS4 (for PS5) Remastered trilogy, but I've been dragging my feet on that one. I end up trying to do so much research on new TV's that I get burnt out on it and just use my HD display. It is a PlayStation 3D Display, which by the way, Uncharted 3 looked incredible in stereoscopic 3D. It's part of the reason I hate to move on to something else. I play the games from bed, due to being disabled from a lower back injury, at work, in 1998, and a new MS diagnosis in 2020. So a smaller 24" display, on a metal armature is ideal for me. My girlfriend isn't really into gaming, so I often game after she goes to bed. I'm a night owl, so I suppose it works out. :) Anyway, thanks again for doing such a nice review for the games. I enjoy reviews of games several years after they've been out. It helps remind me why I loved them in the first place, and gives me a kick in the butt to play them again! I'd say I like them in this order.. 1. Uncharted 2 (My favorite in the series, but a close call with U4. Such an amazing follow-up in so many ways. They really pushed the PS3 hardware here!) 2. Uncharted 4 (Once you've played the trilogy, this game becomes so meaningful, and well done! I probably spent an extra twenty hours taking in-game photos and admiring the graphics!) 3. The Lost Legacy (I enjoyed this one so much more than I expected to. I thought it was going to feel more like a stand alone DLC, but it was so much more.) 4. Uncharted 3 (I really liked it, but perhaps the pacing was off a little. Still a top game, and playing it in 3D added some nice visual depth to much of it). 5. Uncharted 1 (Sic Parvis Magna - "Greatness from small beginnings") -Matt
I do agree with the supernatural stuff, at least the first part of it, The whole, "Whoa, what is this doing here" part of it, and that's it, because I'm pretty sure it's to deliver the message of "Yeah, you get a lot of treasure, but, there's consequences". honestly, one of the best game franchises ever,

These are minor criticisms of amazing games and i admire them more for it, these were a brilliant achievement given the limitations of the original ps3 hardware, like the 256 mb ram.
Best Indiana Jones games ever made. Played since Uncharted, and it’s nice to see a franchise only get better through the years and be respectfully retired.

There's also a PSVita title with special mechanics, it's called The Golden Abyss. BTW, they wanted to do something simular with the TombRaider franchise.
