    Its the price of looking cool.
    When did skinny jeans or high heel shoes become comfortable but we suffer to look cool.

    You don't made a cafe racer bike if you were looking for a comfort. The only comfort i get when riding my bike is compliment from other commuters when we are waiting in a red light, or when i park my bike somewhere. But riding comfort, hell no, i even doesn't understand comfort riding since i use my cafe racer bike, but i don't care. The bike is my soul.

    If I want to optimize physical comfort, I'll stay in bed under blanket watching Netflix. If I want mental comfort, I'll drive my cafe racer with open face helmet, fully exposed to surrounding elements. My lower back could be little sore after few hours, but in my head I'm in paradise.

      I had a Rickman with a Honda 4 in it. At 120kph, it held my weight (75kg) off my wrists so I had no problem with riding it from the Mid North Coast of NSW to Sydney in the rain. No trouble. Around 500 kilometers (300 miles, roughly.)

    My bike feels bad for my back and hands at low speeds. It is only good once speed is over 100 km/h because of wind. But I guess a big part is like you said how you set it up. Mine was built completely to look good.

    I have ridden many styles of motorcycles. The only style lve ever found comfortable is what l'd call a standard. Leaning on your hands, legs cramped underneath you, feet extended forward, hands elevated above your torso. IMO none of these riding positions are comfortable for extended periods of time. Do l like cafe racers, love em. I'm not too likely to build or purchase one with the above mentioned riding positions. I'll accept that the young man in the video is comfortable since he says he is.

    Well in the UK it makes pretty much sense to rather drive a bike than a car, cuz we all know the stupid traffic,cheaper and more enjoyable..if you go to work why not do it in style am I right, I only drive a car when I really need to,otherwhise bikebikebike :)

    I would put the comfort level of a cafe racer above that of a modern sportbike, mostly because your legs are not in such an aggressive position and because you could always just cut into the side of your seat, put some gel pads in there and stitch it back together if you don't want your ass to be sore.

    • @MrDTTV
      @MrDTTV  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I agree, you can always move/change the reasets or move/change the seat.

    Depending on your needs, if you need comfortable, I think you must have cruiser bike..., if i have a caferacer ....I'll just drive to hangout... Basically i like classic british bike such bsa, matchless etc...i usually do a touring probably with those classics 350km - 800km....but absolutely i don't do it with caferacer.... 😅

    Depends on who you ask if you have a full blown Cafe Racer then it'll be like jumping on a sports bike

    • @guard961
      @guard961 ปีที่แล้ว

      in fact its much worse due to the ergonomics differences. A cafe racer with no rear sets is basically a standard motorcycle with a hunched posture. At least sport bikes come standard with rearsets & the proper fairings to make it more or less comfortable. I ride my cafe daily to work and hopped on my colleague’s R3 quite a few times. The difference is alot.

    Am I the only one who doesn't find cruisers comfortable? They make my back really sore, I'd rather have my feet set back and be leaned over slightly. I'd go with clip-ons myself.
