    I make hollow beads but have never tried this method. Such a good idea. So grateful 🙏. Big thank you xx

      Hi Lena! When I first tried the hollow bead I would practice using this technique. Once I was comfortable with the disks, I didn’t necessarily the base bead anymore . Still, It’s a great way to add variety to those awesome hollows! (Thanks for over-looking my sloppy intent on the cane work! 🤣🤣🤣)
      Thanks so much for your comment Lena! 👋🏽 R- 🖤🖤🦇🌹

      In Sweden there is an ancient kind of current law or ways to live a life. One paragraf goes like this: you shall never act like you are fore more than others and never try to gain on others misfortune. The latter part is right and fine. But the first part is just wrong I think. Everybody should act like

    • @susannehoglund5565

      We are the fore most and in love/with love for our next person...that makes my next person just as valuable as my self!

      @scottwoodresearch  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jirup! You are the first person to notice my necklace! It’s is indeed lace… I doubt it is handmade though! 😃 It’s one of my most favorite necklaces…soft, lightweight and black with a bit of sparkle!
      I absolutely love well made lacework! Have had this one for years…
      Thanks so much for commenting! (I hope you enjoy the demo too 😆). R- 🙏🏽✨✨🌹

    I love how the encased white gives the bead an extra, I guess I’d say ‘demension’. You can really see it from the sides.
    What is your favorite size mandrel? Everyone, please give your answer as well. I really want to know…and why you picked that size.
    Robin, I’m still sick. BUT I have a new tank of gas amd am taking myself back through the basics. You know I still can’t pull a stringer to save my life

    • @scottwoodresearch
      @scottwoodresearch  ปีที่แล้ว

      Beth! 🤗🌹 I’ve been working on a fun way to practice those really fine stringers and that clear encasing is the key! ✨ I always find myself using the 3/32” mandrel because it is a standard size and I have a ton of them. But I’m very fond of the 1/4” because you can get bigger faster and you can put it on a thicker cord. The ring mandrels are really cool too…😂 OK…guess I don’t have a favorite!
      I’ll have to play around with the bigger sizes asap!! ….suddenly I feel like I’ve been neglecting them😅
      ….and what’s your favorite mandrel ??
      I hope you feel better soon so you can practice those stringers!! I have faith in you!! ✨🌹✨
      See you soon Beth! 🤗✨🌹 Cheers- Robin 👋🏽✨💫💫💫

      @@scottwoodresearch thanks….I was thinking…what if you made ribbons? Make the white encased stringers like normal. Line several together, baking ribblins. Then there could be 3or4 white enclosed in the ribbon. Then when laying out there would be more white lines for each laying

    • @scottwoodresearch
      @scottwoodresearch  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! I actually make the ribbon cane for the lady heads I’ve made. Would be fun to see how it would look with just white lines. They make it in studio glass all the time! Oooo…I’ll have to jot that down! 😂
      Good idea! ✨Thanks Beth! ✨🌹👋🏽🤗
