Will never ever forget the first time I heard these four sublime musicians play together, in Limerick, ireland. Around this time. Had never heard anything like it before. Magic times in their company too.
The Two Duos Quartet album is one of my favorite hidden gems. Beautiful playing and arranging, particularly on the gorgeous closing arrangement of the O'Carolan piece. I live in the States and unfortunately these wonderful musicians don't make it over here very often. I was fortunate to get to hear both Swap and Chris and Andy play in concert, both were magical evenings which I still remember well many years later.
So nice to see this... I saw Karen & Ian in 1999 at the Freight & Salvage, where I picked up the Two Duos CD. I've had a terrible crush on Karen Tweed ever since. Wonderful music, great band.
