"Tennessee Whiskey" was written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove and first performed by David Allen Coe in 1981 and George Jones in 1983. Chris and Morgane (his wife... the woman helping him sing here... they have 5 kids together) are very good song writers that are well-known as such in the country music industry, but they didn't write this. Chris definitely made it his own though.

This is such a bluesy version of this song and by far my favorite. It's a mixture of Blues, Country, Southern Rock and even some Bluegrass. His pickin and rough raw vocals accompanied by his wife, Morgana's beautiful harmony. Don't get much better than this.

Also his song *Fire away* (music video) is a beautiful song and the video is almost as good as the song. Its about mental health and its hard to keep the tear canals dry on that one.

He's absolutely amazing. Literally he was played at the cookout -- I'm not kidding one of my cousins played Tennessee Whiskey at the memorial day cookout (in May) and I'm blown away. He's great. Beautiful voice definitely sings blues

It's so fun watching people react to this song. It's not one of his originals. He can't be pigeon holed in one genre because he has that "IT" factor. He makes you feel it. Even his covers have his style on it.

He's written well over 200 songs for famous singers from Sheryl Crow, George Strait, Adele, Little Big Town, to Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton & SO MANY OTHERS! Let's not forget the many talents he has slayed the stage with from Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, John Mayer, Ed Sheeran just to name a few. This man is nothing less than pure genius & always remains humble & in touch with his fans. His wife, Morgane, like her husband, is a talent in a category all of her own.
