My life with Islam wasn't that good, I had never ending doubts that I didn't find answers for. Now I'm atheist, I don't agree that life is miserable without islam. When I left, it was like a breath of fresh air. The fear of eternal damnation was no more.
Well, Islam's only about trying your best. Heaven isn't filled with perfect people, it's with sinners who repented sincerely and asked for guidance. It's about you're relationship with your God, the only God. If you found it hard and left it without researching, it feels like you did it because of your desires, not for what's true or not. Please Muslims dont give up practicing Islam just because its difficult. I was one of those who did so and now Ive been struck with an incurable illness. That illness came about through my sins. Now I have turned back to Allah and I hope He cures me cause Ive promised I wont give up again. But my faith has come back and what I went through before was easier than this illness. May Allah forgive me I truly regret this
From 2016 leading up to 2020, I was a relatively successful financial advisor. I had 2 cars, a nice apartment, engaged to a woman who looked like a bollywood actress and prayed every day, thanking Him for what He has given me. I stayed away from what’s wrong and strived to do things the right way. But when Covid-19 happened, everything was taken away from me. I am currently riding a bicycle doing food deliveries while laden in debt. A far cry from what I used to do/own. Sometimes, I asked myself where did I go wrong? What actually happened? Sigh it’s depressing😢😢
Remember brother, Allah swt owns everything. Being discontent with what Allah has given you will earn you nothing good but hell. But being pleased, you will get the pleasure of Allah and maybe Allah swt can restore to you back what you lost. May Allah swt make it easy for you.
Allah owns everything. If your possessions determine who you are, then when all of them are lost, then you would be left with nothing. Maybe that is why they are taken away from you, so you could start elevating your true self within, because someone who is worthy will always have real value no matter what situations they are in. I firmly believe that the rewards of holding steadfast to Islam are not all granted in this world. This is because worldly rewards are temporary, while the eternal rewards await us in the hereafter.
As a revert of almost 3 years alhamdullilah, that lived most of my life as a non-muslim, i wouldn't say life is harder with Islam, but it is harder with discipline and limits. Of course, when you have no guideline and no purpose, no clear definition of right and wrong, everything is "easier" because you can do any thing you want, and go as far as hurting others to get what you want. But at what cost ? I'd rather live a simple and righteous life, being very aware of people around me and only being remembered for good things. But nowadays limits are highly crossed... Alhamdullilah

I literally cried after watching this video I asked Allah about this sign only that tell me I've done something wrong in my life that I'm going through so much struggle or is this a test.. But I have a strong believe that the creator of this world is only Allah and the path that he have given us is the best path ever.. But I'm trying too hard to bear the pain and to be patient but this pain is getting harder day by day.. please pray for me that I got a means of rizq, get married and take care of my parents and give my family every happiness that they deserve.. ameen!!
It might look like the disbelievers are doing well to get that certain job, or to get married. But you don't know what they did to do those things. They could be in massive Riba debt from schooling , usually they are. There is a 60% of divorce for the non believers. Just because they are getting married does not mean anything according to statistics. We are protected by Islam from these things. As Muslims our divorce rate is much lower and we have more children. Don't judge the books by their cover , especially the nonbeliever .
Brother try to think beyond deen. Instead of getting closer to a god who couldn’t do anything about Palestine let alone your life, try seeing how other people find meaning and success. You might be even surprised to learn that there are much better and actually helpful paths, ones that don’t rely on fear of Jahannam.

Akhi I was also struggling and at this day I am struggling with my hifdh and the surah is getting too hard to memorize but as Allah promises insha'Allah things will get good.

Relationship with God is never a burden nor a hardship. It is a blessing. God freed us from burden & superstition. Place relationship with God over religion. It’s fine to pray with nail polish on, not have to wash before prayer, pray in any direction, not be bullied into fasting, enter a place of worship alongside both genders. You should pray no matter what, wherever you are, whatever time it is. God wants your heart. He loves you.
Every day, I face a new test before I can even get through the one I’m already in. It’s been years, and it feels like this will never end. I don’t know what to do anymore-I feel so lost.
A good believer is one thing. To be a good human is another. A good believer is not automatically a good person. This "Life is a test" answer is more for those who didn't make it in this life and want their substitute life in the afterworld. To do good thing is of no worth if you just do them because of your afterlife.

It’s fine to pray with nail polish on, not have to wash before prayer, pray in any direction, not be bullied into fasting, enter a place of worship alongside both genders. You should pray no matter what, wherever you are, whatever time it is. God wants your heart. He loves you.

Every day, I face a new test before I can even get through the one I’m already in. It’s been years, and it feels like this will never end. I don’t know what to do anymore-I feel so lost.
A good believer is one thing. To be a good human is another. A good believer is not automatically a good person. This "Life is a test" answer is more for those who didn't make it in this life and want their substitute life in the afterworld. To do good thing is of no worth if you just do them because of your afterlife.
