I think this video is showing how making things better is all in the mind. You can make everything beautiful, simply by admiring everything, loving everything.
when Strawberry Fields was released The Beatles had already shed their clean cut 'mop top' image and start sporting mustaches for the Sgt Pepper album yet the cartoon Beatles still retained the 1964 image!
Did you know that "Strawberry Fields Forever" is one of John Lennon's most common psychedelic rock songs that tell John's childhood memories of playing in a garden at the Salvation Army children's home?
Id love to see Ralph Bashki or John kricfalusi take a shot at animating some of these psychedelic era beatle cartoons. I am old enough to remember when these aired the first time. I’m glad to see them, and I’m glad that they kept them in their “ mop top” outfits for this.
Bizarro world when this children's cartoon started incorporating the Beatles' drug inspired songs in the episodes. Tomorrow Never Knows , Strawberry Fields....
Apparently, early sketch ideas and plans for *Yellow Submarine* were going to incorporate the cartoon characters from the show (matching suits and mop-tops)...if this clip is any indication, we can be thankful it didn't happen that way.
It's hilarious, these cartoons are for kids and they're having a hard time hiding the acid-splashing of the Beatles even then :v in a dreary and grey England you don't think this left kids asking questions about "colouring the world" and The Beatles and Strawberry Fields and how to do it themselves?~~~~ It's all in the mind
+John Gutierrez Nope, it would have been a great reference, but it's the seldom-heard brief and super-psychedelic hidden track that follows "Strawberry Fields Forever" on the original vinyl 45. It's usually not considered part of the song and is cut from it, like the very similar "Run-Out Groove" that follows "A Day In The Life" at the end of the Sgt. Pepper album. I think there are a few versions of "Strawberry Fields Forever" on TH-cam that include the creepy hidden track. It's at the end of this hidden track that John famously whispers "cranberry sauce" (Or did he say "I buried Paul"? The world may never know!).
The Beatles weren't just musicians, though they were great ones at that. Head over to truthcontest(.)com and read "The Present" Skip to page 59 if you're a Beatles fan.
this is so beautiful! the illustration of poor little kids having fun with little they have or just any human being making the best of life! with the heart and mind and faith! like a little child all thanks to John Lennon and his masterpiece song Strawberry Fields Forever.
I love The Beatles and I love strawberries! When I die I want to be cremated and I want some of me spread over a strawberry patch. Thanks for posting this!
even the cartoon characters look stoned.
+Tyler Wilkinson None. Too young.
OMG NO I'M SO JEALOUS OF PAUL RIGHT NOW!
I WANT HIS GLASSES!!!!
George:Permission to speak sir, we stopped sir, I think sir. XD
This song seems to be about bring high on pot
LSD
And theyre not even voiced by the real beatles...
The song is
+Bella, The Hero of Time And yet, they still got paid. Go figure.
Weirdly enough, they actually kinda do a good job at visualizing the song.
I think this video is showing how making things better is all in the mind. You can make everything beautiful, simply by admiring everything, loving everything.
Nope, drugs.
Bakorafanboy13 don't ruin it.
Chris Atora sorry bro, but them kids are tripping on Lysergic acid Diethylmine 25.
Andres Gomez Tripping on them drugs.
+checkeraka47 Except that it's not.
when Strawberry Fields was released The Beatles had already shed their clean cut 'mop top' image and start sporting mustaches for the Sgt Pepper album yet the cartoon Beatles still retained the 1964 image!
+skeaneable And in the intro to the later episodes they show the real life Beatles with their mustaches...
To be honest that image was created in 1963 just with little bit shorter haircuts.
“It’s All in the Mind You Know” was quoted by George in the film “Yellow Submarine!!!”
didnt some of the people who worked on that also work on this cartoon
@@blademasterislit Why Yes!
George Dunning and Al Brodax!!!
This isn't about drugs it is about using and playing with your imagination.
It teaches you about LSD
It's a song about using and playing with your imagination, with songwriting enhanced by LSD.
+Terrance “Wowz” They never directly mentioned LSD though...
+Biscuit0100 it doesn't matter if the mention it in the song or not
+Bakorafanboy13 What do you think that drugs are?
Did you know that "Strawberry Fields Forever" is one of John Lennon's most common psychedelic rock songs that tell John's childhood memories of playing in a garden at the Salvation Army children's home?
Yes.
1:39 The greatest moment in cartoon history.
5:08 George should have said that. I watched yellow submarine
That random "STOP!" At 1:05 kills me every time for some weird reason XD.
best beatle episode ever! ;)
I love how at 1:21 Paul's lenses magically disappear.
5:06
Paul: "How did we do it John?"
John: "LSD."
Hahaha. That would've been priceless.
They played strawberry fields, not Lucy in the sky.
+Bakorafanboy13 Lucy In Strawberry Fields.
So did they sort out the orphanage or did they just goof out on acid?
Trippy childhood
Dylan A. Kent Back in the orphanage, they had some of the dankest LSD around fam.
The music is the only saving grace of these Beatles cartoons. They are shockingly bad. And don't even get me started on the voices...........
+MitchelGant Yes, the production was piss-poor.
that's just the tip of a very rotten iceberg.
I find it amazing how it lasted for somewhat long, it's a fun watch but the quality is pretty crappy.
Id love to see Ralph Bashki or John kricfalusi take a shot at animating some of these psychedelic era beatle cartoons.

Originally telecast on September 16, 1967.
Where's the part of the song when john says "cranberry sauce"(or "i buried paul")?
I remember watching this episode on TV. Miss those days
0:53 George esta cargando a Ringo......que tierno!!!!
Bizarro world when this children's cartoon started incorporating the Beatles' drug inspired songs in the episodes. Tomorrow Never Knows , Strawberry Fields....
This is exactly like an LSD trip
Apparently, early sketch ideas and plans for *Yellow Submarine* were going to incorporate the cartoon characters from the show (matching suits and mop-tops)...if this clip is any indication, we can be thankful it didn't happen that way.
It would be interesting to have gotten that version too tho, y'know as an unreleased cut. To me at least
Should have included cranberry sauce
It's hilarious, these cartoons are for kids and they're having a hard time hiding the acid-splashing of the Beatles even then :v in a dreary and grey England you don't think this left kids asking questions about "colouring the world" and The Beatles and Strawberry Fields and how to do it themselves?~~~~
It's all in the mind
Well, I think John made a tribute to the place he used to hang around when he was young between the late 50´s and early 60´s
Those kids will never get adopted now, they're drugged!
This is my favorite episode by far
Got A Problem, Do Some Drugs, You'll Be Fine
I can’t believe they gave the kids LSD. Also, that’s not what it’s like.
@beatlewarrior either "cranberry paul" or "i buried sauce".....
Whoa...Trippy...
I love trippy cartoons!
Charming video...was this actually part of the Beatles cartoon when it aired or was this done later?
I guess TH-cam doesn't mind videos with The Beatles music anymore. These used to be blocked
5:09 was that supposed to be Carnival of Lights?
That's actually a good reference, if it is one
+John Gutierrez Nope, it would have been a great reference, but it's the seldom-heard brief and super-psychedelic hidden track that follows "Strawberry Fields Forever" on the original vinyl 45. +John Gutierrez No, Damnation of Souls.
2:32 in the business, we call this foreshadowing
Hey, these shrooms aint shi- "let me take you down-"...woaj

I wonder how many kids... " turned on ", due to Beatles cartoons?
Turn me on dead man
this is so beautiful! the illustration of poor little kids having fun with little they have or just any human being making the best of life! with the heart and mind and faith! like a little child all thanks to John Lennon and his masterpiece song Strawberry Fields Forever.
+Michael Mejia I don't think the song is even very good.
what?? you're out of your mind! this is the best song ever.
John Lennon forever!! They should redo this cartoon, it could have been better, than this.
Ahhh yes, back when acid trips were good for kids, thank you LSD.P.S. i love strawberrys!
Ok, what was up with the transition into the musical number? That was just weird and abrupt!
Yellow submarine movie; Beatles cartoons style.
reminds me the most of The Yellow Submarine. I don't know why? hmmmm.
Cranberry sauce...
(sigh) john and his magical mystery glasses that disappear and reappear randomly...
1:50...LSD melts in your mind, not in your hand!

+hobz^.^ mobz A heroine is a female hero. Learn English.
+hobz^.^ mobz And it's more about LSD than heroin. (no E on "heroin")
I love this song
