Awesome demo, E. If you're going to be prepared with multiple ways to make fire, you should have multiple ways to strike a Ferro rod. I've found with the VIC, if you turn the saw upside down so the teeth is pointing down, holding at an angle and pulling the Ferro rod across the spine, for me creates more sparks than the way most people use it. And I don't know if I've ever mentioned it before, but I use Fierce Fire to start my charcoal briquette chimney. Thanks for sharing.

That's awesome! There's always an option to spark that Ferro rod off, I just like the Spark Gauge Strikers control and versatility, so I keep making it!
I'm stoked you can use it for that purpose, I swear I remember you telling me that years ago... 🤔 The new Fierce Fire uses beeswax, I wonder how that would work doing that.

Great stuff!!!!i always try and look at these situations from a different perspective.... like can i get a fire started if i only had a ferro rod or just a lighter or just matches.... like can i find something in the wild that would work as a striker for my ferro rod!!!i like to test myself from time to time..
