Didn't they stop doing speed skiing cause it was too dangerous as it the fastest sport which dosent require a motor, going 80mph on skis

They were going in excess of 120 mph and it's just too dangerous. One skier died in a crash totally unrelated to the competition at Albertville. Could you imagine allowing the "best" Eddie the Eagle-type from some nation that does not traditionally have Alpine success? That would be a recipe for disaster.

Why don't they show some of the spectacular crashes of speedski I know there have been some speedskiers sometimes cripple themselves keep doing this
