Edgar Grospiron wins the 1st Moguls Gold - Men's Moguls Freestyle Skiing Final | Throwback Thursday

Freestyle skiing, specifically the moguls event, made its debut at the 1992 Albertville Olympics. The winner was the popular Edgar Grospiron, who recorded the fastest time of the final and the second best scores for turns and air. His supporters broke down the security fence lining the course and hoisted him on their shoulders. When asked if he followed a special diet while training, Grospiron answered, "Yes: one-week red wine and the next week white wine."

While I'm grateful to see many skiers that I looked up to and trained beside, WHERE ARE THE WOMEN'S MOGULS? Donna Weinbrecht, Yelizaveta Kozhevnikova, Stine Lise Hattestad, and the other 5 finalists deserve to be here also. The woman's finals only had 8 people, so it would have only taken a little more effort to include them here. I've been trying to put together playlists of the history of Olympic moguls, but it's nearly impossible to find complete runs on TH-cam. It's important for today's mogul competitors to see skiers in natural moguls instead of the cookie cutter courses used today. Please add the finals (or at least the top 3) from the 1988-1998 period.
Recommenting old videos is just a bad idea.
