A possibility. In truth, the loads are removable and so I pop them out at the main station, carry them across the garden and pop them back in when the train reaches the quarry siding.
Well, the sand is real, but it has been congealed into a solid mass covering carved foam blocks. Most of the loads on or in my wagons are removable so they can run loaded in one direction and empty on the way back.
I've been informed that Bole Laser Craft have some Southwold kits (I think the reason the messages couldn't be posted is because they contained a web link). The system wouldn't allow me to approve them but will allow me to post the link - bolelasercraft.com/product-category/rolling-stock/common-carrier-kits/
Wonderful
Best series on Garden railroads. Can't wait for part 5!
I have really enjoyed this series of film, great to see how your railway have evolved over the years. :)
Thanks - glad you enjoyed it
You are an inspiration! --dunc
Thanks Dunc. Your railroad looks pretty fine too! Your eyesight must be a lot better than mine - one reason I've opted for large-scale ... ;-)
i love the look of those wagons of yours!
I watched all videos in this series. What great creativity! Very well done!
I think you deserve a medal. Well done you. I hope you enjoyed them
Thoroughly enjoyed that series 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nice work again! Love to see the amount of lore behind the Peckforton, and the amount of work you’ve put in!
Very nice video.
I’ve really enjoyed this historic journey. I do hope this is a video series that you will continue recapping each year to come!
I think I probably will do a yearly update from now on. Then I can blame you if people start complaining about overkill ...... ;-)
@@rikbennett9 If it gets us more videos, start blaming me now!
It would be nice to see a video concentrating on the sand quarry siding, how you actually get the sand back for it to be loaded again etc.
A possibility. In truth, the loads are removable and so I pop them out at the main station, carry them across the garden and pop them back in when the train reaches the quarry siding.
@@rikbennett9 Ah so its not actual sand then?

@@rikbennett9 Ah I see

PS - I have posted the .STL files for the wagons on the gardenrails.org forum. You have to register to access them, but they are free to download
Thank you from the Cowboys in Oklahoma.
I'm using your Bluetooth Arduino loco as a basis for my fleet since we want to control our locomotives with the raspberry pi
Sounds interesting. Let me know how it goes.
