Bhai me gujarat se hu, but mujhe sindhi ka ek word samaj nahi aata, mere nana(grandfather) sindhi the karachi se unko samaj aati he wo bolte the lekin hum nahi samjte he, kutchi thodi bahut gujarati jaisi he.

Indian Sindhi surnames can be easily identified because surnames end with two letters "ni" like Tiwani, Wadhwani, Kriplani, Lalwani, Sejwani, Gidwani, Poplani, Dudlani, Ravjiani, Sukhwani, Motwani, etc etc.
Gujarat, Sindh and Marwaad (south rajasthan) all 3 areas are primitively drought stricken, less green and hot dry regions. So, people there have learned to live in lesser resources and spend them very economic way, be it water, food or even money. Therefore, many times people from other areas (especially from Punjab, Hariyana and UP) think about them as "Kanjoos".

Sindhis are settled all over India like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Gujarat, etc. L.K. Advani, Ram Jethmalani are Sindhis. Sindhis are very well to do. I have many Sindhi friends.

I wanted you all to see how the hindus who migrated to Ulhasnagar, Chembur, Adhipur to name a few.They started with nothing and worked their way up. Hindu Sindhis, Gujaratis, Kutchi have a lot people in business. Being a Sindhi we love food and mainly fried food.

FYI the most common way of knowing whether a person is a sindhi or not is to find the last two letters of his surname...if 'Ni' is there, then they are sindhi at least in most of cases. For example: chanchlani or Jani 😅
