There's some more I'm hoping to tackle as they've been on my backlog for a while but this month has a lot of Metroidvanias releasing so there may be a pause on them for a bit. But I only heard about this game yesterday and got engrossed in it.
It's because they planned for the player to name her but decided on Rose later on. RPG Maker has a very bad habit of biting you in the ass far down the line in development if you change your mind on something later.
@ I see. Yeah that is true. My experience with RPG maker is limited but if I'm correct then they'd have to manually change the name in the dialogue box name in every single instance which would be a nightmare if the idea was scrapped that late.
The many-eyed, many-jawed evil spirit that appears in some of the death scenes looks just like Pride’s true form from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
And the soul was never heard from again...... EDIT: And now we got a Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne reference and a Tales reference in the same comment chain before GTA 6
Idk much about the story, but damn the ending is pretty good. You're not alone ending is probably the best ending a game could give to the player, not many has ever done this
Is directly tradition in RPG Maker Games a Lot of No Sense and very stupid Deaths. If You don't believe me, just SEE The Deaths of Misao, one of his deads is literally that phone Rings, make your Character do a jump by The scare and she hit The wall behind her and just fucking dies. Without Any gore thing, she just hit a fucking wall and dies
You're warned by the friendly ghost not to sleep there as you won't wake up but you can totally opt to sleep before meeting them (or even in some circumstances after meeting them). You have to collect candles for the ritual at one point so that lit candle is a bit tempting to take but I guess they opted to go with a darkness equals death game over (curiously no other dark place in the mansion has that occur).
@@CrankyTemplar haven't played it, but looking at that room vs some of the other rooms shown, is it possible it's because it's the only light source in that particular room? all the others seem to have candles on the top walls as well.
Just a quick question, which ending is the true ending of this game? And is it okay if you describe the true ending of this game to me? Because I don't fully understand what's going on in these endings (I hope the true ending is a Happy ending)
@CrankyTemplar you mean like the very last ending that's shown at the very end of the video the ending titled the you are not alone ending that's shown at the very end of the video is the true ending of the game?
I have a question. What is the history of the Mansion? Why is the Mansion haunted who are all the ghosts haunting the mansion and what happened to the sister?
Wtf? This is in my home as I did not have any recommendations from it. Welp, touched it and OOF. Okay, indie rpgmaker game. I don't even have any similarities of that genre in my history
Hrmm, while a good game there are conspicuous typos and grammar errors peppered throughout the game. Don't get me wrong they did an amazing job and I can understand everything, it's just a little jarring.
Yeah, while I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to typos it does detract from the experience, which is a shame as it's a pretty solid game in this genre.
There's a fair few RPG Maker horror games with iffy translation / grammar, I feel like I just take it in stride at this point lol. It looks pretty cool otherwise:)
It isn't an rpgmaker game without some girl dying horribly over and over again
I'm surprised the piano doesn't kill you in this game.
And interacting with anything kills you usually.
And what about fnafb though
4:53 Death by Failing to Meet Societal Expectations
That's a lot of RPG maker games recently and I love that.
I don't know why but such ilk of games' interior map designing are so fascinating to me.

6:37 uh we kinda didn't have time for a cg here.
That moment when you care more about killing your protag in every horrible way imaginable more than even giving her an actual name.

@@Superluigi881 Amusingly, they could've just used /n[1] which calls the text string of that character's name.

@@marklaurent4653 yes also good morning

Yeah, truly RPG horror moment.
Finally another game with good desth sense and make sense this is what i love
24:49 well aren't that heartwarming
2:18 Uhh is the monster Pride from FMAB?
Which is worse?
The deaths are pretty ridiculous honestly, they are not creepy at all

Is there context for the candle and sleep deaths?

@CrankyTemplar by the way, two more questions, why is the Mansion haunted and what happened to the sister? What exactly is the history of the Mansion?
@CrankyTemplar and I'm guessing The main characters sister was there the day The Mansion became cursed too

I think the owner summoned the demon that's cursing the place and everyone died.

Exactly.
I just found out about Mario and the Music Box and after learning what is that my next question is why is that.
I think this game is more than misao because it's too scary
