Esta gran obra del maestro para mi es sublime ,tuve el privilegio de cantarla en un coro excelente y dirigido por Juan Pablo Izquierdo, el año 73 y año 84 , lo que me llega al alma y el espíritu es el coro 39 Ruht wohl , gracias por esta otra versión de la obra

Muchas gracias Miguel! Muchas gracias a nuestro amado J. S. Bach a quien le tengo que decir que el principio de esta Pasión según San Juan es de las músicas más inmensas que he escuchado. Cómo empieza con lo que será el fondo latiendo constante! Como el halito de la vida primordial y desde él se van sumando las transformaciones... Más y más y más y lo más bello: las inimaginables. Eso es algo que me apasiona de él, que parece ofrecernos todos los regalos de la Creación entre sonidos, instrumentos, voces, notas, compases y silencios. Cómo es posible??? Pero lo hace y tú, Miguel, nos lo regalas en tu hermoso Canal. Una gloria compartida por tantos! Un abrazo fuerte y hasta mañana! Feliz de este especial de Semana Santa al que nos invitas!🌹🎶🌹

This recording is a wonderful tribute to the Johannes Passion on its 300th Anniversary. It is also a great tribute to J. S. Bach.
The album cover is INSULTING and illustrates the producer's ignorance.
Bach was a PROTESTANT (LUTHERAN) , not a Roman Catholic!
This Mass was performed in the LUTHERAN churches of Leipzig.
Rosary beads shown intertwined (Roman Catholic style) on the album cover is a Popish thing used by Roman Catholics to count their Rosary units.
As a Lutheran, I am insulted by this show of ignorance.
Perhaps we will next see Mozart's Roman Catholic Masses performed by musicians donning Yarmulkes.
Es, precisamente, la “reforma” luterana la que nos ha traído, a través de sus mutaciones más o menos laicas, perlas como el capitalismo salvaje, el holocausto nazi, el transexualismo, el nihilismo, el ser atormentado, solitario e individualista, con su búsqueda vacía, autoimpuesta, irracional e imposible, del placer por encima de cualquier otra consideración… y otras mil lindezas más que no enumero aquí, para no escribir un comentario interminable.
Y, todo ello, sin entrar en las nefastas consecuencias que trajo para la cristiandad, antes unificada, esa ruptura llevada a cabo por Lutero, un individuo tan poco edificante como vendido y sumiso al poder político dominante de su época, al que fue servil hasta el extremo de llegar a justificar las matanzas de los campesinos que se oponían, justamente, al exterminio económico y físico que contra ellos pusieron en marcha sus gobernantes. Fue, precisamente, ese servilismo al gobernante y al poderoso, que tanto predicó Lutero, uno de los pilares del éxito de la “reforma” luterana, unido a la oportunidad que vieron esos gobernantes de apoderarse de los bienes de la Iglesia Católica en sus territorios.
