Guys name is Ryan Moss, a surf photographer. He suffered a broken back and compressed vertebrae. Spent at least six days in the hospital immediately after and had surgery done. It happened at a North Shore break named Himalayas. In hindsight, I’ll bet he wishes they made a U-turn and dealt with the white wash, rather than launching into oblivion!

I used to always jump the large swell with my x2 Kawasaki and it would always be a soft landing as long as it was not too high… One of those dudes took a 25 foot launch that's crazy on the legs and the back.
That's ridiculously not safe.. I mean if they cleared the water for filming it's on them but if 1 person bailed into your landing or they become your landing 😵 drone shots only worth so much. Still that was fucking awesome 😎
