If you set the Satellite mode to 2D instead of 3D, you will able to see twice as far (3D halves the radius from 20km to 10km). This allows you to be able to see the lake on R1 (and also the ocean in Japan). Great video though!
A couple months back I had seen a reddit post about some Pokemon cards going for a ton of money. I had thought to myself, "What had ever happened to that Flygon kid from Highschool who was in 8th grade in my environmental science class?" Cut to yesterday at 11 P.M and watching geoGuessr videos for some odd reason like a zombie, and lo and behold I see Flygon recommended. Except now he's Chicago Geographer... and in college. Glad to see you're still making content my man.
6:02 Actually the reason it has no vegetation is because it's summer The picture is taken in middle of summer but in spring you can see tall grasslands all over the place and in winter, obviously snow
Isla Guadalupe is managed by the Mexican government and military. I don't think anyone "lives" there. It is a hot-spot for Great White Shark tours with the revenues from the tours benefitting the conservation of the island.
Thank you so much for playing my map.
No problem! It's fantastic
Thank you for sending it in.

Holy shit! Thanks for checking out the channel. Send me a DM or something bro I'd love to know who this is
Ah the last one, São Miguel. Been there just a few weeks ago, so I knew how it looked from above from all the map studying I did 😅

Very cool!
great game as always and on 1:10 why didn't you consider that this could be US military base somewhere in Nevada/Arizona?
I thought it was area 51 for a sec😅
@@thissazonna yeah same :D
Didn't feel like the right landscape to be US imo
The last one was probably the easiest one for me. I immediately went "hey I think I've seen this one in the Azores"
Love satellite videos
my favorite round was Turkey, great instincts!
That round thing is not a cricket pitch, it's a bull fighting ring. Not too many of them in New Zealand!
I can’t wait until you collab with those geo god guys. Was so happy to see your comment there
Would be so down to collab with them
This one’s pretty fun for me!
I’m pretty geeky about volcanoes, AND I spend a ton of time on Google Earth!
Cool stuff. Boy, it's easy to ruin a good game fast on this map!
Try to do those Geoguessrs with empty maps :D
Did a while ago :) th-cam.com/video/voCrypGpkzc/w-d-xo.html Definitely will try it again sometime!
I wonder if that Chilean runway needs to be so long because it’s high up and a thinner atmosphere? Anyone know?
don't spend too much time directly above volcanoes ;)
Ah yes NZ drives right now.
