Indian here and sambhar fan: Feeling awesome looking at the Dosa Sambhar . 2 Things gol gappa mein paani bharna tha ( or maybe u like it dry ) Secondly, bhaijaanko sambhar acha nahi laga toh kuch interesting - Even south Indian vendors dont get it how to cook sambhar or they dont care. But Sambhar is a delicacy that diffrent states do their own way. However, sambhar thoda stewish type ho aur Imli ka sourness should be distinct - Plain dosa and good sambhar lightly spiced a bit hot with Drumstics and mustard seeds would make me eat 15 dosas non stop. Toh in an essence there exists a type of samabhar that bhaijaan and your friend will love. Happy to share homemade recipe my mum does. Love from India / UK

How ?
Street pe nahi mall mein kaha 50 -70 rs mein milta hai mujhe bhi bata main bhi aaunga
Masala Dosa is just for Rs.90 in Jammu. If it's in mall it may go up for Rs.150
Peanut chutni idly , dosa , Maidu vada , mysoor vada , Bonda , sab South indian dishes kei sath khane mei badiya lagti hai .
* Simple easy hai 1st Ingredients :-
1.First peanut / Moong phali ko ek dry Tawa par kadak hone tak bhoon/Roast karo & uppar ka chilka nikalo 70 to 75%
2. Hari Mirchi ko thoda oil dalke naram hone tak badiya boon / Roast karo thodi si mirchi kali hone tak .
3.Roasted yellow Phutana redimade
4. Kaccha chila huva lehsoon / Garlic
* 2nd Preparation :-
Inn 4 ingredients ko mixi mei water & Namak Swadanusar dalke grinder mei grinding karo .
3 glass peanuts , 1glass Roasted redimate phutana dal , Roasted green mirchi 3 glas peanut , 1 glass phutana kei hisab sei 1/4 pav kg 200 gram dalo only but mirchi tikki ho apne hisab quantity kum jyda karo .
100 gram chila huva lehsun /garlic
Sab ingredients ko mixi pan mei dalo water thoda kum dalo & namak bi thoda kum bad mei taste anusar dal saqte ho yei dalo aur grind karo aur texture thoda thickness hona chahiye .
Fir ek bada bowl / Still ka bartan uss mei sara texture dalo fir apne hisab jitni thickness chahiye uss hisab sei water dalo / & first chuney ko taste karke dekho fir namak apne hisab sei swad anusar dalo.
* 3rd Tadka Preparation :-
Tel ko ekdum garam karo ,
Uss mei lal dry tadka mirchi , jeera/Cumin seeds , Mustard seeds , thoda quantity mei Curry leaves , Chana dal , & Moong dal thoda & haldi / turmaric powder 3 Spoon thoda sa namak but namak is optional inn sab ingredients ko ekdum kadak bhoon lo thoda tadka mirchi kali padne tak lekin 80% only tadka pura jala math dena .
Phir iss Tadka ko apne hisab sei Chutney mei garam garam dalo chutney kei hisab sei ok Chutney is fully ready & enjoy South indian breakfast dishes with Dosa , idli , uttapam, Vada , bonda, & happy eating.

Masala dosa origin is Udupi,Karnataka & I am from kundapura, Udupi dist. In our place it is called as masale dose. In a standard hotel the rate is 30 Rs to 50 Rs. The rate of paani purl, masala puri, sheva purl, dahi puri is also 30 Rs to 50 Rs. Pav baaji Rs 50. You will get so many type of dosa (dose in Kannada) here.

Sambar me generally brinjal nahi use hota. Karachi may obviously you won't get the authentic taste. Even in India aapko north may south k food ka authentic taste nahi milega. I love your vlogs. Keep up the good work.

So much over acting just for Dosa and chutni , I’m Punjabi ( India ) and I hate South Indian food, it’s so different from what I grew up eating with the Punjabi / North Indian spices and tastes, dosa is not all that when you’ve grown up eating Punjabi food, that’s why Saima didn’t like it, no need too over act and lick boots of Indians, ( also acting like Indian food is some type of exotic food compared too Pakistani food, it’s much the same ) please be more authentic

This is no way comparison to Indian Dosa. Mostly Sambar is made with drum sticks with other vegetables. I live in Delhi and for South Indian food I go to Sarvana Bhavan
Nice to see you people eating Indian delicacies. But, the rates shown in menu are about 4 times higher as compared to rates in India in a Food court.
Sambhar is named after Tanjore Raja Sarabhoji Sambhaji Rao, who asked his cook to try something new to eat and thus came Sambhar. But it originated in Thamizh nadu and Thamizh women have mastered it with different combinations and every area in Thamizh Nadu is known for tasty Sambhar. Madras Hotels are famous for Idli-Vadai-Sambhar and we do not even go for chutneys. Who ever eats Indian food please try the Chutneys alone don't mix it with sambhar or another chutney or Potato masala. you will miss the distinct taste of each one. Sambhar Vadai Rasa Bonda are also tasty to eat. Pongal with Kuruma or Vadaicurry is heaven. Come to Chennai and eat in middle class hotel, you will get good taste and satisfaction. About Star hotels I do not know because I never went inside!

Dosas are so easy to prepare (recipes abound on the internet). Home made is the best. Sambhar too is easy to prepare if you have the sambhar powder MTR brand is good. (You will also get recipes on how to do it if readymade is not available).

Sambar is made of Arhar/Toor Dal, vegetables like Moringa Drumsticks(called Sahjan in Hindi), pumpkin, bhindi or okra/ladies finger, strictly no potatoes, made with a special Sambar powder, a combination of various spices. It also contains tamarind or Imli in Hindi for that special tangy, sour taste.
Drumsticks is called "swanjne" or "phalliyan" in punjabi

@@samk6051but ‘phalliyan’ in punjabi can be of many types….like french beans/france beans are also called ‘phalliyan’….then there are regular beans/phalliyan which are available through out the year and thin beans called ‘bareek phalliyan’ (which have kidney beans like seeds/sprouts in it)…..and Moringa drumsticks are called ‘Moringa phalliyan’……this is my opinion…some might differ….

600 Rs ka dosa🤯. Even if we convert it to INR it is Rs 200. Damn too expensive. In good malls one can get Dosa at INR 100-150 depending on the type. Rs 200 is premium airport rate in India.
Raj Kachori golugappa for Rs 550 😂😂😂😂. Yeh kya mazak hai. It’s not worth more than INR 100 (at max) even in a premium restaurant. Usually goes for Rs 20-50 in small eateries.

OMG dude 600 rupees for masala dosa, thats too much. Also sambar actually tastes better with dosa, but its a difficult dish to make, even here in India not everybody can make good sambar.
