Maratha empire was established by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He gave the ideal of Hindavi Swarajya. He not only fought for self-rule by himself but he also inspired generations hence for the same. It was his inspiration that later took the Maratha empire at its peak. Maratha empire rulers after Shivaji maharaj kept the values of Shivaji Maharaj alive and that inspired them to expand the boundaries of the Kingdom. Maratha empire period after Shivaji Maharaj was of dark times for the Kingdom as powerful Mughal, Aurangzeb had resolved to destroy the Marathas. But the way Marathas resisted him is a classic example for modern leadership and management principles.
