Volk vs TKZ is the only ufc fight to make me shed a couple tears. After the first round he couldn’t even sit on his stool. He just sat on the mat next to his coaches and it was heartbreaking to watch someone’s heart and will break right in front of our eyes. Very sad moment and we will always love you TKZ.
I heard his speech at the end wasn't translated correctly by the translator, he had said he was done and saw the difference between himself and the champion and never thought he would reach it again

When it comes to getting KO'd we should definitely make a time frame the fighter must take to recover, because you got to add in the effect of a weight cut as well as a fight.. He certainly got KO'd a number of times, but he also back then fought way more fights than 95% of other fighters, (while more importantly winning the vast majority of them). In not only his losses, but also many of his victories he took a shit ton a strikes that woulda KO'd damned near anyone, and yet brushed them off and kept fighting. It really wasn't until his fight with Bigfoot Silva where he then started to get put to sleep with ease, and even then it still wouldn't' be for a little while yet following that KO that finally he gained a widespread reputation for having a glass jaw. Seriously, go watch his fight in the mid to late 2000's at the end of his LHW, (aka Pride middleweight), and his first half dozen or so bouts at heavyweight, and you'll see he took plenty of decent blows to the dome that easily coulda ko'd him and yet didn't. Better yet, check out his Kickboxing during that same time period. You can't win the K1 kickboxing Grand Prix while going up against a number of the greatest kickboxers of all time and not be able to take alot of punishment.

Of course he lost to Ortega and Yair but his loss to Yair was followed by a two fight streak, and he demonstrated the veteran ability to take the fight to the mat against Ige after his loss to Ortega. The athletic commissions should not be blamed at all for thinking that a proven veteran could compete.

Looking back at Bispins unbeaten record while fighting in England that Silva fight looks fishy. He got literally KOd, Silva thought it was over and Herb decided that a souless body was still in the fight. Silva getting the belt back from Luke would be a great way for him to end his career

I admire Anderson's willingness to play gatekeeper and be the first major/former champion test to an onslaught of dangerous young killers in middleweight contention. But he should've never been in there with those guys at that age, after everything he's done in AND FOR the UFC.

I actually disagree with some of these fights being mismatched the results don’t mean the fight shouldn’t have been set up I do agree that putting the boxers first match against the best wrestler is just crazy as well as Rousey should have had a tune up fight before Nuñez. Personally I don’t agree with the ngannou v overeem one. U could say that about any ngannou win. But overeem was the 1# contender and ngannou was on the rise and even leapfrogged like 10 spot in the ranks to fight overeem. It was the perfect matchup imo

I think it's awesome that Bisping got to the Hall of Fame but when questioning DC Cormier he said he didn't believe that Robbie Lawler deserves to be in the UFC Hall of Fame Robbie Lawler has been fighting since he was 19 20 years in UFC probably had over or at least 40 fights and was the UFC champion so if you ever get the chance to get in there he should be first-round ballot Hall of Famer, for sure!

I feel like Ngannou vs Reem was a good match up. It was supposed to test if Reems high level kickboxing could put class Ngannou
it's not absolutely a big mismatch though. but it's heavyweight division, doesn't matter how technical you are the moment you get caught with a clean shot you're done.

Ronda wasn't surrounded by a good team but rather by yes men who never coached her properly.
If she never was coached properly because honestly she just wasn’t, then that means the same thing as out skilled. Don’t matter how much skill anybody has they could have infinite if it’s not worked on and refined then you’ll always be seen as that being your top potential.

Looking back at Bispins unbeaten record while fighting in England that Silva fight looks fishy.
He got literally KOd, Silva thought it was over and Herb decided that a souless body was still in the fight.

Bisping wasn’t KOd. He was knocked down. Silva definitely needed a few follow up shots to get that stopped but unfortunately for him Bisping was saved by the bell. I honestly believe that even Silva knew that & the whole jumping on the cage thing was his way of trying to manipulate Herb Dean into calling it. Also, the fight being in England doesn’t make it fishy. It’s not like the English commission made the decision to keep the fight going. That was completely Herb’s decision as the referee & he’s American

I was captivated by Alistair the first time I saw him walking to the ring in Pride carrying that Hammer over his shoulder. He was all skinny but he was still a spectacle how he fought back then. He reminded you of a Street Fighter character back in the pride days
Randy Couture is the exact reason why Boxers don't go to MMA because Boxers know they don't train for grappling. Which is exactly why Boxers don't call out Mixed Martial Artists. Fighters call out Boxers because they want the pay day and they do actually train their striking so there is some form equal ground which is something fans have to understand
