Having some trouble getting the Maps Import to work... is there a forum thread on this product? The first part is awesome, love that you and esha produced this.
Hello... just got Surface Painter yesterday, and your script... looks great, and I've already figured out a lot with it... I was wondering what I'd do with a model that had overlapping UV islands? I tried running them through a UV editor and seperating the islands and saving the model with the new UV map, but I'm stumped how that would work back in Daz. Can you help at all?
Since DS normally only exports the diffuse map, would this be a good option to export all maps and info for importing into Vue, which recognizes the .sbsar archive file format? If so, this would be a real time saver for Vue users with imports.
I wanted to use your script to export the model along with the textures, so that I can change them a bit in Substance 3D Painter. But your script removed all the textures and recolored them to a uniform color.
The output of Substance Painter Assistant are 2 OBJs with surfaces conveniently colored to be easily used in Substance Painter: a triangulated, low resolution file as the main geometry plus a high-resolution file (in quads), where the colors are used to create an ID map, to bake auxiliary maps which are used to describe the shape of the object.
Amazing tool! This is very much so a huge time saver! Excellent work. 😊
Awesome! I am glad you like it.
Great tool and it saves a lot of time! Thank you!
You're very welcome!
This is going to be very handy! Great job :)
Thank you!

I really don't know. SPA exports obj files and SP exports exports texture maps. sbar files don't really fit in here except as base materials in SP.
this is not a maps exporter, its a maps importer

It's so complicated and confusing, I've never seen anyone actually use it
