We are prepping land to build a house so we can move home from NYC back to TN. We just bought a used tractor and are looking at our needs vs budget and this is exactly what my husband said we needed to get next!! We have to build our grandkids a practice soccer mini field and baseball practice field too. This would definitely get some good family, friend, and community use in our hands.
I would love the grater box because I own a cabin in Wisconsin and need it to grade our nasty half mile road. This would also be helpful because my neighbors have nasty looking yards so I would redo their yards. Thank you.
Been considering building a hydraulic pull type box blade for my 420. Maintaining a couple driveways, scratching up crusted soil, and teaching my young sons the basics of earthwork.
My wife, kids, and myself have made watching your videos an every Sunday event. We enjoy how your channel is family oriented and instructional. Our twins enjoy seeing your twins and my son really enjoys all the tractors. Thank you for all the videos and we look forward to next week!
That's a really great idea, and would really work well to grade our farm driveway, our miles of trails, and our grass waterway that needs graded after tiling.
Neil, I enjoy your videos every week. I stumbled across your channel last fall and went back to the beginning. I believe I've watched every one you've posted. I am the Road Superintendent and Cemetery Sexton for my local Township in southwest Ohio. We Maintain 52 miles of Twp Roads , 5 Cemeteries and a Community Park. My 14yo son and I mow yards on the side and I have a 3520 Kioti Tractor with a loader. I do small dirt jobs and gravel driveways. Like you, I stay busy and go non-stop for the most part. Those grader boxes are pretty cool and seem to work great. Keep doing what you do.
Oh man! This would be awesome to finally fix my yard. After living in this house for 6 years and having an unlevel yard with nothing but rocks, roots, and weeds, I could have dirt hauled in and have my dream yard. I help friends do yard work here and there and this would come in so handy not only for me but helping others which makes me happy!
This implement is exactly what we need to work our .43 acres of land up near the Petrified National Park in Northern Arizona. Lots of rocks and dirt to move around. Thanks for the introduction to this great scraper box, and the battery lift is amazing!
I would love to use this for smoothing out the rough spots on my property and driveway. Even if I don't win, I want to take this moment to express my love for your content. I look forward to Sunday mornings when I get to watch what new "or old" thing you're working on, or simply the stories everyday activities bring. Keep up the great work!
I have my father's Montgomery Ward 16 HP hydrostatic drive tractor and that box blade would be so useful behind it. Since I retired two years ago, I spend my time helping others with their project for free. It is very rewarding.
Those guys at Northwoods are really hitting it out of the park. Those grader boxes are really nice. I've been saving up for one myself -- we live on a private gravel road with 8 other families and when a big storm comes through, it ruts the road terribly. Having something like this to help repair the road without having to call in a big company for interim repairs would be great.
Neil, these pull type graders seem to be the ticket for the garden tractors. I made one for my grampa years ago, but its a hand crank to adjust and I've been meaning to change it to an actuator since he's 85 now. Brutus is a beast, I actually restored my 70's Ford LGT165 just before you started that series of videos, next one is my 70's JD 140H3. Keep the videos coming, they are great.
Hello Neil and family! Love the channel. Been watching you ever since you got to go wheeling with Matt in Utah. While living full-time in our RV we made the annual pilgrimage to Nappanee IN for maintenance and really enjoyed the Amish country up there. Now we're settling down, selling the RV and bought a fully off-grid property in AZ that needs a lot of work. That box scraper would come in so handy! Acres of leveling to do. Thanks for the chance. If you make it to AZ give me a shout and I can take you on some fun Jeep Overlanding! Cheers. Eric
This is exactly what I need for my property! We have had a lot of dirt work done since getting our property 3 years ago. Unfortunately by a local company that seems to lack the finesse and attention to detail we’d like to see. This would really clean up our mess.
Hi Neil, I have a family cabin in Pennsylvania woods with a 1 1/2 mile driveway. This would make life a lot easier to maintain it. Looks like a great product.
Hi Neil, Always enjoy your Videos. Don't know how you keep your driveway looking so good. I have a gravel Drive and this little Box scraper would be Handy. Keep making the vides and we'll keep watching. 👍
Versatile and handy piece of equipment to have for anyone with land. The ability to hook up to just about anything with a draw bar and no wires to connect is certainly a plus as well!
Watching this was so calming. I need one of these for my 1/2 mile driveway up north. Currently dragging a old piece of train rail behind my truck to smooth stuff out.
Love your videos, good to see that there are people out there volunteering their time for great causes. Always good to see Bruno out there getting work done.
Between the snowplow and rain storms pushing the gravel off the crown of my driveway, having a box blade to grade with behind my lawn tractor would be the ideal solution. Great fit for the homeowners that do not own a real tractor.
I'm in contract to go from an 18,000 square foot property to a 5 acre property in Bunnell Florida. Taking a big leap of faith with my business and anything that can help me level the ground before I lay landscaping fabric and my nursery plants out would be amazing!
Hey Neil, I have been watching Dig Drive DIY for about a year now, and my son and I have been watching every video you upload. We actually live about 40 minutes from you, up in Northwest Ohio. I think my son even sent a graduation party invite and a note to you a couple days ago. I have always wanted a grader box for my long driveway because every year after winter it gets all wrecked from the plow. We have a big utility tractor with a bucket that we use to level the driveway, but it never works like we want it to. A grader box would definitely help out the look of our driveway, and look super good on the tractor!!
Im still in the long saving stage to buy property so i love watching your channel so i can enjoy fantasizing about working my own property in 2 years. Thank you for the therapeutic videos that keep me motivated to save my money. Im in your area as well so its nice to see you doing what i want to do. Keep up the good work!
Another great video, Neil! Always great to see two things - 1) how great your property always looks and 2) once again you and your family are out doing things to help the community! Good stuff!!
I always love watching your videos after church on Sunday. I don’t know how I found you, but I can’t get enough of your content. I appreciate how easy and laid back you present your content, and add nostalgia and purpose. A great job every time! I love this grader box and I need one for my long driveway and fixing my and my neighbors’ yard. Blessings to you!
Neil you and Northwoods are doing a great service to every one who watch this video. I always like your comments on all of your adventures and keep on trucking!
My 18mon son asks for tractors every morning and we sit together and watch your videos! We have seen them all and love what you do! My husband built our home over the past few years and would love this for our long gravel driveway.
Got hooked on the pond build videos, but honestly I have stayed for the grader boxes and all the miscellaneous equipment content. Great channel and awesome family!
JUST last night I was telling my wife that it's time to learn how to take care of our gravel driveway. I am a new homesteader after transplanting from CA 5 years ago. I told her, "I know how from 'my fave TH-cam guy'".
This is a awesome setup with the wireless remote! I use some homemade drags to maintain my local youth baseball fields and this drag box would make quick work of it. Great video as always 👍
Love the idea of using tools batteries with the grader box. I have a 50 acre property with trails all through the woods that this grader box would do wonders to. I also help out our town with some of the field maintenance like yourself but only have a DIY steel box that just slides on the ground at the moment.
Neil, big fan and love the content! I’ve been watching for a while now and have always wanted a grader box like this for my 1975 JD 214. Keep it up. That 318 looks great!
After watching this video, I realize I've been taking care of ballfields wrong all these years, but not anymore! Learn so much watching the things you do!
Hey Neil, I love how you DIY everything and no project is to small or to big to be tackled. I could defiantly put this box grader to work on addressing our driveway (3/4 of a mile out to the county road) and re-grading our yard at our home in NW Montana. Thank for all the entertaining projects.
Love your channel… have been watching it now for over a year and look forward to it every Sunday evening when I get a chance to sit down and relax… learning a lot…
Great video! This would be a great addition to my yard tools. I’ve been wanting a grader box and this one would fit my need perfectly. Thanks for all your content.
First time commenter. Appreciate your videos. Grew up mowing lawns with a Craftsman Lawn Tractor. Picked up a BX23s Kubota to work a few acres that I purchased with my sister pre COVID. Only have a backhoe and bucket so far. Started watching when I stumbled upon you digging your backyard pond about a year ago. Keep up the good work.
DDD has become a Sunday evening ritual for me, Use so many of your videos as a reference on how I want to tackle or complete my own projects. Keep up the good work
Such a great idea! Makes it useful for smaller tractors or 4-wheelers, etc. easy disconnect too so I could get back to mowing easily. Thanks for showing some great examples of how this tool can be used!
What I love about this video and this tool is it’s exactly the use I would use it on between my long driveway and a couple softball fields we help maintain for youth fastpitch.
Great video Neil, I think a box like this is a fantastic option for those who want to run a grader box behind their garden tractor or ATV, but don't want to wire it directly into there battery, or those who have machines that are not equipped with hydraulics. Your pond project really showcased how these grader boxes excel in finish grading. Great work!
Great videos, this box scrape is exactly what I need on my 400 foot gravel driveway. It's a step driveway and need grading fairly often. Keep up the great videos, by the way the pool turned out great!
Hey Neil, don't forget the batteries! This is a great implement, I don't have a need anymore. I subscribed to your channel maybe 3 years ago. You were doing something with these little tractors and I had just bought a 1984 John Deere 430 with the Yanmar diesel and did pretty much the same thing you did with Bruno. Plus I saw your Super Duty dump trucks and loved them to pieces! Especially the black one. I had several questions and you were very helpful and I finished the tractor after a year. I had to source many parts that had been robbed over the years, but it was 100% when I was done. I made a ripper out of necessity. My sister had her septic system repaired and all tore up. The loader had made a mess and she couldn't get him back to finish grade. I took a square piece of 6x6 steel 5' long tube and I cut 1" square solid stock at a 45 degree angle and welded them to the 6x6 about every 7" making some gnarly spikes. I put a hitch on it that slid into my receiver and filled the 6x6 with concrete. I was skeptical, but what I threw together demolished the ruts and clots and pulverized everything perfectly smooth. I was really shocked. I never found a 48" tiller or loader for the 430 in the two years I owned it and that is the main reason I bought it. I'm not sure it was really quite big enough so I gave up and sold it for $6,000 and I don't know if I made any profit! lol Anyway I bought a new tractor, almost bought a Deere but (don't hate) I bough one of the South Korean 25 hp4x4 with a loader and 60" tiller tractor that was over $4,000 less than a comparable Deere with much higher capacities. I probably should have kept the 430 if for no other reason than anytime someone came into my shop the slobbered all over it! I guess you have to move on to get where you are going. Another great video! Keep em coming!
That grader box does a professional job with a skilled operator such as yourself! Thank you for demonstrating this tool! This would be very useful for any DIYer.
Neil your videos sent me down a big rabbit hole looking into ways I can take care of my driveway after snow and mud season in New England. My current proposed solution is to either drag a railroad tie or build some sort of lumber contraption to help level it. Box blade grader is the way to go I have learned. Maybe one day.
So cool to see these implements being made more practical for folks who can’t quite afford a tractor with a 3 point hitch or maybe don’t need all the features of a hydraulic tractor
I'm always inspired by your projects. I can't wait to see what you do with the wood you milled. We have a friend with a portable mill and now I want some fresh boards. Can't wait to see how much you use the pool this summer 🤗
I started watching your channel about 3 years ago when I saw your DIY Grader box video, and here you are giving one away! Congrats on the success of your channel, your videos are always a joy to watch.
Hi Neil. Starting watching your channel because of your videos with Tractor Time with Tim. Got hooked on your building of Bruno and watched all 8 episodes! The idea of working on a project every day until completion, even if just a little bit, really hit home with me! And you convinced me of the benefit of a pull type box blade. I would love to have one from North Woods Fabrication! I have a long, graveled driveway and so does my Dad. And there would be several neighbors that would benefit from it! Thanks for the education and entertainment!!
I enjoyed the vedio very much and i sure could use a box blade like this for my john deere 317' Very ideal for my home use and side ground maintenance jobs.
Thank you to all that entered to win! This contest closed on 5/5/24. Winner will be drawn the week of 5/6/24 and announced on this channel soon.
This would be a game changer for us
Great video as always!
This would be great for maintaining by driveway and leveling my yard
We are prepping land to build a house so we can move home from NYC back to TN. Would love one of these, sadly I’m 90 minutes over the border in Canada 🙃🥴
I would love the grater box because I own a cabin in Wisconsin and need it to grade our nasty half mile road. This would also be helpful because my neighbors have nasty looking yards so I would redo their yards. Thank you.
Hey Neil, not that you're going to need it, but here's your reminder to grab another battery for the grader box. DON"T FORGET AN EXTRA BATTERY!!
Dang it! :)
Ah you beat me to it.
🤣
Been considering building a hydraulic pull type box blade for my 420. Maintaining a couple driveways, scratching up crusted soil, and teaching my young sons the basics of earthwork.

Sounds like we'd get along just fine! Thanks so much for watching!
This looks like a very handy tool, would love to give one a shot!!!
Amazing what a little garden tractor can still get done 30+ years later. Watching your work is an inspiration to keep mine going.
Great to have the wireless function!
Sunday 13:45 in Poland, straight after dinner watching DDD with coffee and cakes :D relaxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Love it! Thanks for watching!
I’m blown away at how long a battery would last! Pretty handy!
Oh man! This would be awesome to finally fix my yard. That is a great idea! Also gives the ability to let a neighbor borrow the grader and not have to work about electricical!
Good point. All your neighbors would love you!
I like the battery powered grader, very good idea.
I have my father's Montgomery Ward 16 HP hydrostatic drive tractor and that box blade would be so useful behind it. Since I retired two years ago, I spend my time helping others with their project for free. It is very rewarding.
That's my life goal!

I work on 12 ball fields and 6 running tracks for a school district. This would be invaluable. I’ll be showing my boss tomorrow. Thanks for the video.
It's a great thing you are doing here Neil! Keep up the good work! My son and I would love to win the grader box!
Neil, these pull type graders seem to be the ticket for the garden tractors. That box is sweet! I'm in a wheelchair so I love the fact of not having to run the wires or needing to re-connect each hookup!
Love your channel, I just recently found my own 318 that was all original!! Love what you do on here
He added a cover over the control box after my suggestion of moving light snowfalls with it! That’s awesome. Love my Northwoods box scraper!
Hello Neil and family! Love the channel. Been watching you ever since you got to go wheeling with Matt in Utah. Awesome work on that ball field! As a former coach and now umpire I appreciate the effort you put into that.
This is exactly what I need for my property! We have had a lot of dirt work done since getting our property 3 years ago. Unfortunately by a local company that seems to lack the finesse and attention to detail we’d like to see. This would really clean up our mess.
Signed up to win! Would love to use this on the driveway.
I love the wireless capability. So much less hassle than running a wire to the battery! Next remote feature: bucket tilting!
Hi Neil,
I have a family cabin in Pennsylvania woods with a 1 1/2 mile driveway. This would make life a lot easier to maintain it. Looks like a great product.
That would make a nice addition to the arsenal for fixing up the yard after i rut it up with the backhoe .
This could help a lot on my hobby farm as we try to fill in low spots.
That is cool! Most of my cordless tools are 20v Dewalt so those may work with the Northwoods grader box. Thanks for the video. 🚜
The battery option on this design with the remote functionally is awesome, this looks like a great product. Thanks for the demonstration!
Now you need those ripper points on electric actuators! 😅
Love the battery powered wireless innovation. Definitely looking into one of these in the future (if I don’t win it🤣)
As always, nice video. That little tractor sure is a beauty
I’m envious of Brutus’ right turning radius!
Quite surprised at the battery lasting so long!
He turns so tight I was able to polish the paint off the tongue of the grader box with the rear tires! :)
Awesome implement, i would love to have on of these handy things!
That’s a great grader box. Cordless is a great idea.
Watching this was so calming. I need one of these for my 1/2 mile driveway up north. Currently dragging a old piece of train rail behind my truck to smooth stuff out.
We continue learning from you! Thanks for your wisdom. -WdW
I love the videos and I have been watching for a long long time still my favorite videos were when you rebuilt Bruno!!!

Would be crazy to be using that for the driveway. Wife would be happy that it looks good
Always a pleasure watching these videos. It helps someone like me still learning how to use things I have never had a chance to use.
That thing is just what I am looking for.
Your videos have become a Sunday morning tradition before church. I appreciate how you show your thought process and execution. Great work!
Love your channel. We watch every Sunday. We love how meticulous you keep your property! Can't wait to see more pond videos.
That is brilliant!!
Love this
Another great video, Neil!

Blessings to you!
Neil you and Northwoods are doing a great service to every one who watch this video. I always like your comments on all of your adventures and keep on trucking!
Now it just needs electrically actuated scarifiers and maybe a tilt function for cutting a slope / swale. Pretty cool.
My 18mon son asks for tractors every morning and we sit together and watch your videos! We have seen them all and love what you do! My husband built our home over the past few years and would love this for our long gravel driveway.

Great video Neil you are always showing different attachments that can be used on little garden tractors and I love that about your channel
JUST last night I was telling my wife that it's time to learn how to take care of our gravel driveway. I am a new homesteader after transplanting from CA 5 years ago. I told her, "I know how from 'my fave TH-cam guy'".

I’ve been watching for a while now and have always wanted a grader box like this for my 1975 JD 214.
Keep it up. That 318 looks great!
I've never seen anyone else use these boxes, but you're a pro with them - the best salesman for this industry!

I started watching your channel about 3 years ago when I saw your DIY Grader box video, and here you are giving one away! Congrats on the success of your channel, your videos are always a joy to watch.
That would work behind my zero turn as well
I enjoyed the vedio very much and i sure could use a box blade like this for my john deere 317'
Very ideal for my home use and side ground maintenance jobs.
