LAST ACTION HEROES | Wrestlers in Hollywood
In the last decade or so it feels like there’s been an explosion of pro wrestlers getting into the movie industry. And sure, while this has been a thing since as far as the 80’s, back then there was still a certain stigma associated with coming over from the squared circle. Now though, the industries best are finally getting a chance to prove themselves as legitimate box office draws, something which can only be good for the perception of wrestling as a whole. So, join us today as we take a journey back through history by looking at some of the best examples of this over the years in Last Action Hero’s: Wrestlers in Hollywood.

Roddy Piper in my opinion was the one who really opened the door for wrestlers to enter Hollywood. Like Andy said he created the quote: “I came to chew bubblegum, and kick ass. And I’m all out of bubblegum.” Even people who have never watched wrestling a day in their lives know that quote and who made it.

It’s so weird because HHH is someone who’s reputation is known for burying others. Consider the biggest victim of this - Booker T a black guy. I find it ironic that the day HHH starred in his biggest blockbuster to date (blade trinity) is also the one film that was the failure of that franchise and subsequently the lead actor (a black man) Wesley Snipes succumbed to illicit activity that sent him to prison thus ending his illustrious career as a movie star. In effect - buried lol.

We forgot Terry Funk that stared in "Over the top" and "Roadhouse". This one doesn't belong on the list but i wanna see that AWA movie which has Dusty Rhodes and perhaps also Rick Flair in it

Terry Funk in Roadhouse, Adam Copeland was in Vikings, Triple H was in a movie or 2, forgot which. Roman Reigns had a cameo role in Hobbs and Shaw, where the tribe did the Haka and Sasha Banks was in the Mandalorian. I know I missed some.

Thank you for not shitting on Kane for his politics. Seen some channels list him in the "bad" people from wwe just because they disagree with him on moral wedge issues. Neutrality is always appreciated

Steve Austin actually had a semi-recurring role in the cop series, Nash Bridges.
While not Hollywood, Lucha Libre stars had a better success on the big screen than many of their WWE counterparts.
