Sir, with all due respect, the last case which you told, Mahijibhai Mohanbhai Barot vs Patel Manibhai Gokalbhai And Ors. (1964), is a Gujarat High Court Judgement and not a Supreme court Judgement.

Appeal - the appellant of the suit or a aggrieved party may file an appeal in the court from which the decree or order has been given to the court is subordinate and revision may be filed in high court only. In revision, high court shall not reverse the order or decree in favour of judgement debtor unless it is made in favor of decree holder.

Revision is basically on jurisdictional errors (like evidence of a person is not recorded which is necessary to decide an issue) we are not concerned about the outcome of the case even if after recording of that statement decision will remain the same . Revision lies only on jurisdictional grounds and only lies in high court
