Right or wrong I always put the tractor in neutral when unfolding the wings. Let the planter push or pull the tractor as it sees fit to keep pressure off.
I can just imagine you doing this exact thing for Laura. But she really wanted to be daddy's girl. And farm. My dad couldn't get me out of his back pocket.
I commend you on showing screw ups. It is seriously good training to own what went wrong and why! Why is the tractor not equipped with a stop or alarm for no backing with planter? I tip for removing mud, use an impact driver without a socket to rattle the junk loose.
did you fold it right ?? do not know, in early 60's I planted with a H formal and a 12 foot wide 6 head planter set at 24 inch, and going a wild 3mph maybe. with a large straw hat on my head for shade.
We want to know more about Ethan's trip to Europe. Is this part of his college experience? Personal trip with friends? Or other? Good experience for a young man his age.
Hi, bad news it happens No one in the world are perfect. Everyone makes stupid mistake. All you can do is laugh and fix it. Try not to do it again. Good luck.
Cale it seems you need to totally have your wits about you at all times, so many things could go wrong in a millisecond at any moment - fortunately though you have the experience and confidence to stay on top of it! Ethan, how could you abandon ship at this critical time ? Your poor Dad needs you...Europe will still be there another day? I suppose from your point of view you are only young once and when adventure calls it's a difficult call to ignore.. Good to see young Davy at the helm, he'll be a pro in no time!
Greetings from Estonia!
David is some character, i would but double thumbs up if possible.
Great video Cale! Always exciting when the planting videos start rolling out. And David has Laura's facial expressions for sure 😂
"The Soft Parade has now begun..listen to the engines run!"
May luck and God be with you during planting. Fun to see you teaching in the cab.
Your Son is definetly going to be a farmer, very confident.
Mr. Cale, absolutely enjoy your videos. How old were each of your kids when they got their first ride on a tractor? “Weeks” ?, or maybe “days” old ?
Good luck with planting may it go smoothly.
That's How We All Learned!!
Keep Smiling On!!
😅👍👊❤️
A big hello from a small town Thurles in Ireland 🇮🇪
This family gives me hope!
Supposed to put it in neutral when folding/unfolding according to the manual.
Holly molly, David is Cale in his teens!! You're blessed with all your kids sir!
You should have some function on the hydraulic that will raise the equipment automatically when selecting reverse, no clue if that even exists.
David is kickin it !!!! Looks like you've got another Laura !! 😊😊😊
Great to see another young farmer getting his feet wet. But tge technology is right up their sleeves.
Hi Cale. Watched Brian Brown yesterday. His brother was driving his big JD with auto turn. Seemed to enjoy it. Part of Ag leader auto steer..
Dudes a mix of Laura and Cosmo Kramer
🤣🤣🤣
nice great videoo
No doubt he is a Carlson! Glad to see yet another Carlson to start their mark on the farming world!
👋😊
You should check out Origin USA . They make boots in America 🇺🇸 maybe they would sponsor you .
The nice thing about them being twins is Amanda is like having a spare Ethan
Use your pressure washer to clean disks
If you don’t make mistakes, you’re not doing anything. St.Paul,Minnesota.

You need walkie-talkie’s so you can communicate on farm . Also what if you get hurt.
The first video I ever saw of Laura was her doing exactly what Ethan is doing with the v disks. Only difference was hers got stopped up in the field.
Are you going to do a live stream this year too while planting?
Maybe Nebraska needs a Cloud Seeding Program for rain. It worked for Dubai.

Besides a fungicide, what is in the seed coating?
every time you leave to farm you need a backpack with a jump box, grease gun, and first aid kit

David is a spitting image of his big sister Laura😂😂
Easy to tell David and Laura are related. They've got the same eyes. Don't get me wrong David, that's not a bad thing.
We want to know more about Ethan's trip to Europe. Is this part of his college experience? Personal trip with friends? Or other? Good experience for a young man his age.
We've seen Laura and Grant make trips to different countries, I believe Germany was one?

Millennial farmer wouldn’t of done that 😂

If you don't like farmers, don't talk with your mouth full.
And to think my dad planted with a two-row planter and check wire!
