This episode is a direct ripoff of S1:E3 of The Bernie Mac Show. In the episode called "The Main Event" Jordan gets bullied at school and so Bernie jokingly suggests he get home schooled then tells him to defend himself by engaging in the dozens with the bully, giving him pointers on "yo momma" jokes. Jordan isn't good at it. Instead he teaches him to act crazy. Jordan goes overboard and becomes the school bully. The principal calls Bernie in. Bernie tries to teach him to do the right thing. When Jordan does, he gets punched anyway. Sound familiar? One of the Black-ish writers must have passed this off as his own idea and punked the show.
