  • I test ride the 2023 Kawasaki Z900 naked sport bike and give my initial impressions on how the bike rides around town and on the freeway. This was my first time riding a Kawasaki Z900. I haven't ridden the older Z800 either. I used to test ride the Z1000 and that was one of my favorite bikes at the time.
    This bike was ridden in Sport mode for the review. I have ridden smoother throttles before in Sport mode on other bikes.
    I do compare this bike in some aspects to the Ninja 400 and Ninja 650 that I had previously ridden.

    Have a '22 Z900 and a '22 Z900RS. Neither have snatchy throttles. Both have tons of grunt. The Z is my favorite, just not as comfy.Both get 50 mpg. Build quality s superb. No gripes, just praise, except OEM tires on Z suck, but easily replaced. Got both for less than a maintenance intensive European job. Very happy.

      @@Ul-Haq Yea. I sold that bike 8 days ago. Only $7,200 USD. It was showroom mint with it’s first 700 mile service done at the Kawasaki dealership. It had 1,200 miles on it. Kept with cover in a heated garage. Not even a tiny scuff on it. I babied that bike. Dude that bought it got a HUGE deal. It was the blue and black. Actually considering the carful break in that bike was worth $8,600 easy. He got it for $7,200 USD. All service papers and title in hand.

    The throttle on my 2023 zx6r is the same. An ECU flash would help smooth it out, all the bikes now are so restricted due to euro5.

    I think it would have been a smoother clutch grab if you were not in 'Sport' mode.

    • @arch417powersports
      @arch417powersports  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, it should be. Although I have ridden smoother bikes in their respective Sport modes. Kawasaki's are a little more on/off in my opinion.

      @derekwright5722 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Illness.og. Yeah, the rpm's are dropping too quickly for how long he's taking to actually shift the gears and re-engage the clutch giving that lurching feeling as the clutch has to spin faster to catch up to the engine speed.

    Sport mode is not bop around city riding. Hit rain mode.

    • @simonk333
      @simonk333 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. In rain mode i found throttle less snatchy. And if you go and try user mode and set power to full and traction controll to full its the same less twitchy throttle. Its seema like if traction control is off or in sport mode set on 1 you got twitch throottle but if you set it higher on 3 its more smooth for me. 🤷‍♂️

    Hello.
    I bought a new kawasaki z900 (35KW). But i could not set the Drive modes. There are KTRC levels in the area where the drive modes are located. I would appreciate your help. Rideology-App" only the KTRC option is active. Driving Mode, Power etc. are not active. When I press the lower part of the gray button, the screen color changes to white. the upper gray button is not active

    Has anyone ever noticed that it can be (sometimes) impossible to change from second to third and from third to fourth gear when the engine speed is over 4000 rpm? I've traveled 300 miles so far, and it occurs frequently.
    I'm unsure if this is a safety measure for the first 600 miles or if the gearbox is broken.

      Check clutch cable adjustment or have dealer do it, these trannys are tough. No problems on mine.

    Not a fan of "snatchy throttles" common on EFI bikes.

    I don’t know man, i have the Z900 and even though its not really my first bike i had a 650 classic Yamaha V Star for only for 10 months and half those months is winter as i am in Canada so wasn’t riding it all 10 months and its pretty easy to handle finding no issues
    Of course i am taking necessary precautions like limiting highway riding and keeping it in rain mode till i can fully adjust. I think its ok for newer riders but maybe not every new rider as i know some people have a longer learning curve and they dont pick it up quickly
    Either way im loving my Z900

    I would already own one if they hadn’t made the tail so ridiculously high... seriously if it was 9 inches lower it would still have plenty of tire clearance
