  • CAMPERVAN BUILD!
Our first update of our VW MWB Crafter Campervan conversion.
Upgrading from our VW T6 campervan, journeying through Vanlife. This camper conversion will be 4 berth with a shower cubicle. A lot to fit into the MWB so keep watching to see the plans and progress.
So far we have installed first fix 12v camper electrics, insulation, sound deadening, captain seats on swivel bases, new side window and some other bits you’ll see in the video. This is our 3rd campervan conversion!

Hi David. We uploaded another video. Sorry new to the YT thing so not very good at remembering to film! If you’re interested in anything in particular let me know and I’ll try to get something up about it. Installed the actuator for solar panel yesterday so will upload a short vid on that 😊

Hi I am converting a MWB crafter also and I'm really enjoying your channel, having trouble finding a suitable shower tray. Did you have much difficulty adjusting the tray you got from O'Learys and how did you do it? Also looking forward to seeing new bed setup .

Adjusting the shower tray is easy, cut then rebonded with sika flex
      - initial bonding to set position
      - 1st mastic to give shape
      - then a final decorative on completion.
It’s the best way I could see to get it right for the MWB 👍🏼
There are some bits to do before getting to the bed but hopefully not too much longer. Are you fitting out for 4 berth?

@@recraftedcampers4686 I would like to do a 4 berth but struggling with space, which is why I was wondering how you got that shower tray in, by the way where did you make the cut on the tray? I was considering the front section for some sort of pull out bed hence the interest in your drop down bed.
Thanks for your reply appreciate it.

Hello, our names are Mark and Stacey. We are also doing a 2020 Crafter conversion. Could you please advise where you bought your Shower/Toilet tray?

Hi Mark. It’s from O’Learys Motorhomes in Hull. We had to cut it down to fit. Are you doing a MWB or LWB? They won’t post it out we had to go collect it

Have you tried Summit for a single flare?

    • @recraftedcampers4686
      @recraftedcampers4686  3 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes but they said they would only supply a pair, so £800 for one flare is pretty steep. We also plan to make it with a pre insulated unit and fibre glassed, so should be pretty good. We have the mould and once we have made one we can run off some more if you are interested let me know.
For me, the small gain on the passenger side isn’t worth losing the window

@@recraftedcampers4686 what width does it give you with the 1 flare, im 6'2

    • @recraftedcampers4686

@@anthonyarnold1242 It should give an extra 120mm width. We are just 5’7 and 5’9, plenty for us! The lower bed is obviously shorter though
