உண்மைதான். எங்கள் வீட்டை 50 வருடங்களுக்கு முன் எங்கள் தகப்பனார் முன்னின்று கட்டினார். வீடு இன்றும் ஒரு சிறு விரிசல் கூட இல்லாமல் பலமாக உள்ளது. ஆனால் பிளான் இல்லாமல் கட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது. பல அசௌகரியங்கள் உள்ளது தற்போது தெரிகிறது.

At present, we do plaster the interior and exterior walls with cement and sand mix therafter apply putti twice. Subsequently, we give a primer coat followed by painting. Nowadays. a new concept is emerging whereby exterior wall plastering is done by cement and sand and interior wall plastering is done by a good grade gypsum. Is gypsum plastering inside the wall is good and will there be any issues later ? Ipadi dhan engineer kitta kuduthen veedu kata. Used low skills North Indian labours and spoiled me entire dream house dream. Almost after 90% payment they are asking 10Lakhs to finish the work. They stopped the work. 69Lakhs agree pannitu final stage la 79 lakhs demand panni stop pannitanunga. Reason they said materials prices gone high and they are not willing to provide bill of quantity to prove it. I called approved surveyor and checked the current value. They already took 30% excess amount. Most of the agreement keep only 10% for finishing stage. So it’s always good and peace to construct our home on our own

Even if we assign the work to an engineer, in reality, we also have to monitor the work regularly and we can't keep ourselves aloof. But our work is reduced to a great extend and for that we have to give a reasonable remuneration.

We had given our house construction work to a contractor in 2021 jan in our hometown.... We are not in our hometown so we were not able to follow the day to day work. Unfortunately the contractor took it very granted as we are not in town and did not even complete any work as per the agreement schedule but he was always asking money money money....And so many quality issues.. No regular work.At one stage we realised that we have given more money which is 3 lakh more than our actual site work.. Then we closed the contract with them... Finally i left my kids and stayed in our hometown to complete our house with daily wages...It was really a good decision we feel... Now it's completed and we have done whatever we wanted to do in our house. It might be taken my time and some sacrifices from our side. Now it is WORTH than what we sacrificed for the past one year..During that time i regularly watched your videos( still watching :-))and got so many informations.. Thank you.

From the foundation marking until grihapravesam we have to skip other work.if you do like this we can save lot money ie lacs of money.its very hard but for our house we have to do..no other go...

Sometimes people do not consider about the cost, the concern is about the quality of the work. The bad quality work will start showing up only after 10 years. I got the agreement from two engineers in my location, both of them mentioned m20 concrete ratio as 1:2:4. This is just one of them. Here I lost the trust on them.
You are right, this is true and most of them to do the construction on their own due to quality, time comes next. agreement is of no use.
