a pleasure . my son did the whole route on a road bike with tubeless road tyres . not one puncture . I played it safe and did it on my gravel bike 🚴♂️🌞
Did the best part of this loop after covid… but started in Ashbourne and did the Tissington trail as well as Monsal and High Peak. 68 all toll.. great loop Julie
Hi Colin. Thanks for commenting. That's a great loop! Must admit I've thought about that ride recently. A great ride to rack up the miles on well drained terrain. Have fun.
Just back from riding this gravel loop, a great ride, varied, interesting with fantastic views throughout and of course some excellent cake stops along the way! It was great, well worth the visit to the Peak District, thanks Julie Phelan 👍
Heh so pleased you had a good time . Guessing you missed the turn at Rowsley signed posted WPL. Shame that but you made it! Thanks for commenting . It makes it all worth while
That's lovely. Are you staying on the campsite ? I have always thought it would be a great place to stay in the van. Sometimes a beautiful place and simplicity are all that's needed.
Hi Julie, looking at getting out to the Peaks very soon but was wondering what sort of route you would recommend for a first time trip ? I'm on a hybrid with thin tyres so wouldn't want to tackle anything too rocky but also would like to stay off road. I'm fit but certainly no athlete anything under 30 miles with minimal climbs would great. Any help would be appreciated 🙏 loving the videos keep it up.
Ok how about this as an idea with only one relatively short hill? Park at Middletop near Wirksworth and ride to the end of the High Peak Trail and back. The scenery is beautiful and you can have a cafe stop at Parsley Hay. ( the cafe is actually on the route). Need anymore help, just ask. Have fun. Thanks for your lovely comment.
@@joshwileman9549 Have a fantastic time. You might need to walk the short section down to the Monsal Trail . It’s only short . Have a wonderful time . Let me know how you get on. Enjoy
Hi Julie, lovely to meet you today on the High Peak Trail. Hope we didn’t slow you down too much! Link to our channel below: th-cam.com/channels/Zg9rNdNZGM9X1V1-24Bq1w.html Off to try some more of your routes this week😊🚴🏻♀️
Excellent video Julie, lovely production. Nice to see the High Peak Trail feature. All very local to me, its been ages since I last did the full loop ride that you did. Nice to find a new TH-cam channel, especially a relatively local one! Subscribed and off to watch some more of your videos. Stay safe. 👍😀🚴... ...btw checkout Cycling TH-cam Creators Facebook group. Might be of interest.
Heh thankyou so much. Early days for me. Hopefully things will get better as I go. To be honest it's been a long time since I have ridden that route too. It hit me just how beautiful it is. I really haven't appreciated it enough. Filming routes has made me do different things and that has been wonderful. The Facebook group sounds interesting. I will have a look. Thanks for your contribution. Have fun!
I have just read that part of the Monsal Trail has been closed at Rusher Cutting. This is the second recent closure due to rock fall. Do check if you decide to do it!

You have a nice air about how you present and the video has plenty of things to catch the eye, not endless featureless gravel etc.
Thank you. It's a fab project and I am learning new skills which I love
