Sir i always wanted to biomedical engineering and i am very passionate about it but i realised this a little late and I couldnt get any nit so now i have decided to do btech in electronics or mechanical and then mtech in biomed. Mechanical seemed nice but people are demotivating me saying its not suitable for girls so please tell me should i do btech in ece or mechanical?

I Suggest you Should Pursue Electronics engineering.
Nowadays our Indian govt. Is quite serious about this branch.
For eg : (1) Recently our honor. Pm approved the set up of semiconductor units in three states of India which will definitely increase opportunities for electronics engineers.
(2) Growing Electric Vehicle Sector will surely raise huge number of employment opportunities for electronics engineers. According to world economic forum report EV Sector will grow 40% till 2030.
(3) After Btech you can go for Specialisation in Robotics and Automation which has more demand in Foreign Countries not as much in india.
Whereas in Mechanical Engineering you can Pursue Piping Design Engineering for a futureproof career.
As you mentioned in your comment that you are Passionate About Biomedical engineering , Although it,s your Decision but I will say only one point that A 12th passed Student has not much Experience regarding career matters so , they should look for real world situation and outlooks Rather than their own Dreamy Ideas.
