Hello Ibrahim! You probably don’t remember me. I was one of the Armenians you used to beat in chess all the time when we were young. If my memory serves me right, we have played couple of times in tournaments. Happy to hear you’re getting your PhD in Physics. Congratulations, best of luck in your future plans.
Imagine if I did this instead drugs in highschool, opiates and harder drugs when I should have started colleague and just full on speed and heroin as an adult. That was worth it! Especially now when I turned 30, decided to stop, built a computer while living at a rehab, started gaming and realized that I'm the biggest non-educated nerd and theres so much I want to learn. But I'm trying to see it as the "I wish I hadn't seen that series already because it was soo good but now I know the endint so it's not as fun to watch it again"-ish. You know what I mean? Because I can't see it any other way. I'm 35 now and Im doing as much nerdy things as I can. I'm on methadone but as long as you don't use other drugs you don't act intoxicated on it. So far no one has even suspected that I'm on it and it has saved my life. Well, I'm happy to hear about your journey!
You can buy a schuam outline for physics, calculus, linear algebra and differential equation to learn physics. Also apply to community college and good luck in learning them.
Congrats, ibrahim. Your story is very inspiring to me. I'm currently 16, self-studying calc2, because i love math, wanna study physics and hopefully get my PhD in mathematical physics.
I'm also a fresh Particle physics PhD student. I studied theoretical physics, but then now I'm slowly switching to phenomenology and experimental because all of my theoretical physics applications are rejected (low grade, maybe). I will start my PhD in March this year, as a part of the CMS group in Findland
I'm not sure how you came to that from the video. Academia might function a bit like that, I won't dispute that, but becoming a physicist is mainly about research.
This is going be a weird question. Is it normal to be complex of learning calc based physics mechanic and calculus 2. Plan to retake calc 2 but learning physics for curiosity. Wonder what it like taking physics 2 electricity and what adjustment skills for physics degree. It due to I have hard time learning on alone but good with group studies
@@blackbirdphysIt is alright. So i was studying calculus based physics mechanic aka physics 1 university and calculus 2 on free time. However, I was confused when i was try to learn them because of different equations. So i was asking is it normal to be confused when learning it as first time. It because i was plan to take physics in future and try to adjusting by learning them.
@SimicChameleon it can be confusing if you're studying them for the first time and you don't have anyone to ask questions. Once you learn them in university you will have someone to clear up confusions and you'll have more practice with the material. Keep up the self-studying and good luck!
@ Thank you for the answers. Maybe once I go to the university class. It will explain well. For now, I practice and only use answer sheet and see how it works.
Hello! I'm an undergraduate physics student studying at the Lebanese university First of all, THANKS for sharing your experience, your videos excite me a lot about my future! So grateful for how you inspire us!! I'd like to ask about something. Do you know anything about the possibility of fully pursuing a physics PhD in Lebanon for those who prefer not leaving the country?? Is it decent enough? would it work considering that I really want to pursue a research career?? Or is it more preferable to rely on western universities??
Hey! Thanks for your comment! I think there's a few unis in Lebanon like AUB that offer a PhD in physics, but realistically if you want a career in research it's much better to go to a more well-known university (western or eastern). I will say though, a career in research is quite difficult these days so you have to have a fallback plan. I might make some videos about this too. Best of luck with your studies!
Hello brother, your story is very inspiring ty , I am doing my major in communication systems engineering and i would really love to do my Phd in physics is there any chance to do it as an engineering student .
Hello Mostafa, it can be difficult to transition from engineering to a physics PhD, but you should always review the requirements for the particular program you're applying to and see if you're a good fit, best of luck brother

Hi Steve! I remember you quite well actually, especially my wins against you ;) I appreciate your comment, hope the best for you as well brother!
This is my goal in life, hopefully starting undergrad in fall, congratulations!
Best of luck to you

Thanks for the great video! I'm just starting my PhD in Physics right now, and I'm excited to see where it goes!
Best of luck!
You scared the hell out of me with that thumbnail.
Lmao why (I changed it for the moment)
Asalamu alykum. I always wanted to get into math research. This is a somewhat encouraging video for me, thanks!
Salam! Glad you enjoyed the video
Veritasium would be so happy to know that he inspired you!

reimaniann geometry is calling
Thank you! Best of luck in your studies
Congrats 🎉🎉🎉
Im trying to get into grad school, and studying for the physics gre rn. So wish you best man, youve earned it.
Thank you and good luck! Conveniently I have an old video on the physics GRE so feel free to check that out!
11:48 When the HELL did undergrads start publishing papers??????
Oh they've been for a while!

We have similar trajectories! Best of luck to you my friend
Congratulations!
Congrats dude. Been watching you on tik tok but I’ve since deleted it. Glad TH-cam decided to recommend your vid.
Thanks man! Glad to have you back
gratz man... I think I found u during or after Covid era and it's nice to see that u r reaching the finish line!
Thanks man! I appreciate it
nice overview well done! (congrats pal!)
Thank you! I appreciate it
thats good clickbait i respect it.
🎉 congratulations 🎊. You deserve the best.
What's next?
Thank you❤️ Still in the works
Congratulations man
Thank you!
Super interesting video!!
Congrats man
Thank you!
Congratulations ❤🎉🎉
Thank you!
Send him to moulin rouje now
So the only point of becoming a physicist is to teach more physicists, sounds like a pyramid scheme

@blackbirdphys i have questions about math, physics or engineering.

IDK who you are, but good luck :)
Thanks!
Disappointing, I thought a 5 year old was getting a phd
I was actually 6 there
