If spamton is some kind of spam email, or spam software, i think sans would be an anti-piracy measure that doesn't work as intended, and almost never gets triggered, and so is left forgotten. "Turn around kid, it'd be a crime." Sounds like it would fit right into an anti-piracy screen of some sort.
that also fits with his role in undertale. technically, he's helping papyrus as an assistant to the royal guard, watching from his guard post and judging you for your actions. but he never truly takes action against dangerous people... not until it's too late.
And he knows when you have cheated too, which he calls that out on you.

If you listen very closely during that section you can also vaguely hear him sing this in the background in a very BIG SHOT-esque way. It might be hard to form the sentences but you can hear the syllables of it.
That feels exactly like how Sans(ton) could react when discovering how the fandom treats him
Sanston is either a child protection program, an anti-piracy measure or just an embodiment of what the internet did to sans. And the line “TURN AROUND KID, IT’D BE A CRIME” somehow fits all three.

I like the idea of sanston being an anti piracy measure, you know with him hanging it makes sense because it gives off a “there’s no going forward” vibe
I'd imagine that Santon was jokeware (he's a comedian, after all) that was spread around town; he was created by a group of kids in a computer lab (hence why a computer in the school lab says "it looks infected with skeletons") to test their programming skills. Embarking on a distribution campaign, our pal Santon was born. Initially harmless, he became more malicious after encountering a mysterious hacker (aka Gaster) and discontinued among the community.

even aside from the joke of sans' string being a "rope", i believe that fits well with sans being the easiest enemy because in spamton neos boss fight, you need to cut his strings many times before you can spare him. while for sans in this au, you'd only need one throw.
i dunno if this is intentional, but if it is, its a good attention to detail.
If Sans had NOW’S YOUR CHANCE TO BE A and BIG SHOT equivalents, they would probably be called DO YOU WANT TO HAVE A and BAD TIME respectively

What internet fame does to a man
I love how you can really FEEL the desperation in this. Anyways, I like to think that this is the same sans we all know and love but instead of being born into Snowdin or as a monster lightner in deltarune he was born into a similar role as spampton. And he’s constantly tortured by images of the life he could’ve lived with papyrus as his brother without knowing what any of it means, alongside all other timelines he’s in, genocide and pacifist. Isolation and a lack of love and care would drive anyone mad. Anyone has the capability to snap, whether it’s self deprecating or violent towards others. We only truly get past this once we know what love is and have something worth living for. Before that though… you can be molded however life damn well pleases. Like what happened to Nagito.
After ‘snapping’ so to speak, it’s also easy to fall into a narcissistic way of thinking, whether it be self serving or martyrdom. If this doesn’t happen it’s also typical to find something to hold onto TIGHT, like how Jevil desperately pretends to have freedom no matter what’s in front of his face. Or Spampton trying to get into ‘heaven’. Or even Nagito holding onto his own twisted idea of hope and that the value of life is COMPLETELY tied to it, no exceptions. There are also more subtle ways of this happening you might see in everyday people, like overwhelming optimism that seems amazing to be around on the surface, but instead turns into a toxic ooze of delusion and dismissal. There are broken people everywhere, you just have to look.
I think my favorite part of this song is the motifs used. Obviously, there's Megalovania, but there's also Megalo Strike Back, as well as some fanmade stuff like Disbelief Parpyrus and Stronger Than You.
I may be missing multiple things, but the point is that... well first off I love the use of motifs in songs... but also that this works very well as "Sans' Big Shot."

I can say that compared to the other one, there is less bass then before at the beginning, and also there are motifs of megalo strikeback and megalovania in the background
My take on Sanston is that yes, he is a content blocker as many have theorized. Instead of being an optional boss, he's strictly just a Snowgrave run boss, meeting you before queen's castle and stopping you from accessing 'illicit content' (the completion of what's essentially a genocide of the digital world, as genocide would be a blocked word or smth LOL) and in sans' fashion, he'd probably break the 4th wall.
