Hi Just came across your video, I own a GH6 , and im gonna start using the V mount battery, what are the pro & cons on using a regular battery charged by the v mount instead of a Dummy Battery D Tap on the v mount ?
The Black Mamba cage is not suitable for the GH6 camera. SmallRig missed the boat on this with not being able to use the handle at the same time as having the XLR adapter on the GH6. Your cage is a much better choice. As for powering your monitor. Your v mount battery can do that at the same time as your camera.
Yeah I just need a dc power to usb or something for the vmount to power it or a dummy battery to usb C or B. That is good to know about the black mamba though!
Hello I believe that Kondor sells a dummy for gh-6 with an attachment cable to get around the door issue. I'll try to get more info on it. Great Presentation. I power my 6 with an Anker PB.
Yeah! I just found this out a couple weeks ago but at the time of recording this they didn’t but I’m not trying to drop another $50 on the same item that already works😅

Right now am using an INDI-PRO PD-95S, 14.8V, 6.6AH, 95WH to power my NINJA V. Do you think your Z Bat. could power both? whats your opinion. ?
@@enriquemartin8655 Yes and no to power my camera and monitor. The ZGCine battery is a V99 battery and it isn't that heavy. But I am using it to power my camera and charge my NPF Battery that has a USB C plug into it which makes the monitor last 3-4 hours on a small NPF battery. The entire rig has powered my camera for about 4-6 hours depending on the shoot of continuous recording and staying on the entire time.

What lenses would you recommend? Bonus: What’re your thoughts on its photo capabilities? The sale looks really good right now at bestbuy with the 12-35mm f/2.8 but I could be wrong

Any reason why you went with a specific gh6 cage over your past universal cage builds? I’m not like how my s1h feels with a cage on it so I was looking to see if people still like or use universal cages vs camera specific cages. Thanks!
Yeah I just have 3 camera setups and since this is a pretty bulky camera already a universal cage would just make it bigger instead of a sleek design. My G9 has a camera specific cage as well and my G7 has the universal cage right now.
yes it can but two things, kondor blue just released a new dummy battery that works with this camera battery now and using USB C for power takes away SSD recording
Man the video was good and I was interested in see how you connect the battery and what kind of contact… but you started complaining about the battery door. Why? Keep complains away, please and give us the info complete. The video is good. It just needs to complete the info with your B-roll or an explanation.

With the vmount battery I can shoot for a half day or roughly 4-6 hours

Can't the GH6 be run off USB C? That would negate one of your issues with the dummy battery.
