Beautiful car! I have a 1977 Spitfire. Apologies for the unsolicited advice but it looks like you opened the bonnet using the latch. It's best to use the wheel arch on these cars, as lifting with the latch can cause stress cracks in the paint right in the corners where the headlight surrounds mount. The bonnet also isn't very braced there so it can bend out and mess up your shut lines!
