Hello Friend - Happy Saturday !! - This video was amazing and super helpful. Do the PtP Ubiquiti dishes have to be within a certain proximity of the Starlink dish or the Mesh Router? We have tried to connect the ethernet adapter/mesh router to a Ubiquiti dish that is hardlined via CAT 6 cable about 300 feet away. So we are having connectivity issues to the Point A dish... in close proximity to the Starlink dish & Mesh Router it connects almost immediately -- however 300 feet away --- not working.
Ok I figured out the above -- the answer from the Ubiquit forum is that YES the dish needs to be in close proximity to the Mesh Router ---so it is captured in the "net bubble" of signal strength... NOW.. we have a NEW new issue... We have set up 2 sets of Ubiquiti dishes --- First set : Point A --> B .... Second Set: Point C --> D We tried using a splitter to connect both dishes to the Starlink Ethernet adapter which is connected to the MESH Router ... and that DOES NOT WORK - unfortunately .... Are you aware of any work-around to that issue???
I think I need to try to connect the two (2) sets of dishes using an ethernet switch -- I will try a 5 port gigabyte ethernet switch and see if that works
Not sure if you are still replying to comments, but if you are, a question. Do you need a router at both points? Or Just at PointA, and PointB can be connected direct to a laptop ethernet port?
Hi! Im having an issue, did this just like this, but ram on both devices goes up to 90% and sometimes 95 over 10 seconds, even going into a crash whit an error report

keep it full initially during the installation, it will help a little when doing an alignment. once you are good, reduce it if the signal is too strong. for a 700m link, -60 to -50dbm signal should be ok and keep the chain difference of not more than 3dbm.
@@wifilabxyz thank you for your quick reply. Could you please explain or link something about "chain difference"? Is it the difference between the power of the two stations? I thought they needed to be the same (for example 15 on pointA and 15 on pointB)
the chain difference can be found next to the local and remote signal of each antenna, it has a delta sign and color as well. green means ok, orange means a little alignment is needed and red means very bad signal, maybe more height is needed, the alignment is off or there is no clear LoS.
