When they are spawning that heavy, best the organisers rescheduled match dates away from spawning periods. Hence to observing the old close season was there IMO

Good effort Dave done your homework and fished to your strengths after practice session, but when they have other things to do you can only take the ones who want a feed, go hard on next match as you always do another well presented video.

When there spawning they are like teenagers only interest in sex not food
I once fished a match at pea lane fishery I had a swim that was 4 to 5 feet deep at edge gin clear at my feet about a metre from bank Sat a 10 to 12lb female tench surrounded by male tench about 10of them In 4 to 5 lb bracket I tried every bait I had not one even sniffed the baits so went on feeder and caught a 12 lb carp an about 22lb of skimmers to win section .I must of had about 60lb of tench at feet just weren't interested better luck at Glebe mate
