The thing is that he already tried to whack the box with a stick. Maybe the long jump pole was the same stick, just from different perspective. Therefore he couldn't hit it directly, but would rather have to try jumping with it OR throw it at the box.

the first 20 seconds heralded the crash On the Run xD
What was used to animate this? I keep seeing parts that look like symbols in flash, but then I'm seeing what looks like more frame-by-frame aspects. Do you mix and match? I'm new to animation and was wondering ^^
***** Sorry for the late reply! They were all animated in Flash, using a combination of symbol animation and frame by frame, depending on what looks good :)
Though starting with Bomberman, I've been learning to use After Effects more for cool camera controls and effects.
