Surprised to read some of these comments saying people didn’t like this album. This is one of my favorite foo albums oddly enough. Maybe it’s just because it was one of the first cds I bought for myself lol
TINLTL, Wasting Light, and One By One are my favs. I can understand why people dislike One By One though. I read somewhere that the band themselves hate the song with the acception of four songs
It was a good album but because of the personal fights they had while making it I don’t think it was a passionate as their other ones that they worked very hard on. Still a fun album though
I remember buying this album the day it came out. I loved each of their previous albums, and expected to love this one too. Unfortunately I felt it was mostly filler - I enjoyed All My Life and that’s about it. The rest of the songs had no staying power, and others (Times Like These for example) I could appreciate were going to be popular but sounded generic to me. I was hoping for something with a bit more edge after Dave spent that time touring with QOTSA, but I guess he started viewing the Foos as the repository of his mainstream, bubbly pop instincts, while leaving his harder edge with his side projects. After One by One I have barely paid attention to the Foos - I listen to their new stuff from time to time but to me their first three albums are not going to be topped.
You're my size I need to try you on Someone in between the right and wrong Through everything you kept your wings apart Through everything you stayed that same old heart And when I've had enough She drains me when I'm empty She fills herself, she takes it all In too deep, she's spilling over me In too deep, she's spilling over me Go on and have it all Running through this maze you hold me in Searching all these days to find the end Your everything, your everything I'm not But I'm anything, I'm anyone you want And when I've had enough She drains me when I'm empty She fills herself, she takes it all In too deep, she's spilling over me In too deep, she's spilling over me Go on and have it all Have it all Have it all Your everything, you're everything I'm not I'm anything, I'm anyone you want She drains me when I'm empty She fills herself, she takes it all In too deep, she's spilling over me In too deep, she's spilling over me In too deep, she's spilling over me (have it all) In too deep, she's spilling over me Have it all
@SteadyGiant Maybe he is not supposed to be heard. He only has to fill Dave's missing notes, that's it, and Chris seems to be happy with that, just like us.
They recorded the album twice. The first sessions were overproduced, cost a fortune, and still sounded mediocre. They nearly broke up over that. The came back after sorting out their issues and rerecorded it on the cheap and liked it more. Only years later did they say half the songs were really good, (All My Life, Times Like These, Low,) and the rest kind of sucked.
same here, I know some of the songs are kind of weird but to me this was almost like their transition album from the old almost punk style they used to be to the rock they are now. So I guess I kind of understand why some people love it and some hate it.

I don't get it either. One by One is my favourite Foo Fighters record

It's one of my faves too.
Always a fan whenever Shifty opens his mouth and starts singing, even if he is turned way down.
underrated song
Best hair era of Dave ^^^^^
I swear every time I play this song on guitar it legit makes me sweat lmao that’s how much I get into it. Such a fun song to play
R.i.p Taylor! Top 5 drummer of all time for me!
Reminds me a little bit of School.
You're my size I need to try you on
Someone in between the right and wrong
Through everything you kept your wings apart
Through everything you stayed that same old heart
And when I've had enough
She drains me when I'm empty
She fills herself, she takes it all
In too deep, she's spilling over me
In too deep, she's spilling over me
Go on and have it all
Running through this maze you hold me in
Searching all these days to find the end
Your everything, your everything I'm not
But I'm anything, I'm anyone you want
And when I've had enough
She drains me when I'm empty
She fills herself, she takes it all
In too deep, she's spilling over me
In too deep, she's spilling over me
Go on and have it all
Have it all
Have it all
Your everything, you're everything I'm not
I'm anything, I'm anyone you want
She drains me when I'm empty
She fills herself, she takes it all
In too deep, she's spilling over me
In too deep, she's spilling over me
In too deep, she's spilling over me (have it all)
In too deep, she's spilling over me
Have it all
lovethis soooooooooooooong
Forgot how good this song is 🤘
In all the lives I've seen (on TH-cam and in the real life) of all the bands, this is the best!
Check out God Hates a Coward by Tomahawk live and you'll instantly change your mind.
Tight song to play
I love this song 🥲
Back when Much Music was called Much Music and they actually played music videos
4:20
why did they let dead people into the show?
It's 9 yrs later so you won't see this but I love your username. One of my favourite QOTSA songs🤘🏻
@@nelliesilvers1210 same here! Most people don’t catch the reference. TH-cam forced me to give it up =(
Sad quote. 10 years later. RIP to the best drummer
@@lyndincharbonneau6480 yeah, I was obviously referring to the seemingly frozen crowd. Love Taylor forever
@@lyndincharbonneau6480 20 years later!

this album sucked so badly the band almost broke up because of it

bigbowlowrong The album was their weakest, but I don't think it totally sucked either. This song fucking rocks. The riffs are bitchin'
Is it sad that this is like one of my favorite albums? Idk why. Just like it. Don't hate any of the songs. Love most of them
7LeggedOctopusTV Dude, I agree. I don't understand why this one gets so much hate.
