I remember when this game was announced I was 100% sure the X-Men were gonna be cut from the game and then breathed a sigh of relief when Wolverine showed up
Has magneto always been this sinister? Since when does he actually long to destroy the x-men? Let alone their mansion.
The last time I remember Magneto destroying the X-Mansion was in the set-up for the _Fatal Attractions_ event in the early '90s where he officially declared on humanity. Erik showed up at Illyana's funeral (which even Wolverine said was gouache) and gave everyone one choice, join him or die in the upcoming attack; so when Xavier said no, Mags thrashed the mansion.
A lot's changed in... holy cow... 30 YEARS?!?! God, I'm old.
@@wdcain1 Tbf he also crucified Xavier after stealing him from the X-mansion during Eve of Destruction. And that was during the late 90's, right before Grant Morrison's New X-men!
@@darthonyx2382 I remember that! That was way back when Jean's new X-Men team to fight Magneto had a Mutant whose "power" was invisible skin and only for the skin sadly. Did he even last one fight? He definitely wasn't as cool as the Cerebro X-Men.

The only reason he and the other X-Men weren't helping the alliance against Thanos was because they were busy fighting the Phoenix.

Darkxander 97 it wasn’t a platform exclusive, it’s always been multi platform. 3 is only on Switch because Nintendo are the ones publishing this game.

I think that he's making an electromagnetic camp arround Cyclops body turning into a magnetic body that he can manipulate...
He can control the iron in a persons blood stream or lock onto the electrical energy in a persons body
The scene implies that Magneto already has the Infinity Stone (though I don't think we actually get to see him taking it from the Infinity Sentinel's remains). This Infinity Stone is purple, so depending on whether this game is based on the comic books or the movies, this would be either the Space Stone or the Power Stone (respectively). If it's the Space Stone, then Magneto is simply suspending Cyclops above the ground; if it's the Power Stone, things get a bit hairy because the Power Stone is a thing of force, energy and destruction. Perhaps (if it's the Power Stone) Magneto is using propulsive force to lift Cyclops, but wouldn't such fine control of the Power Stone require Magneto to become more familiar with its use?
Whatever the case, I'd say that Magneto is using the Stone - not his mutant control over magnetism - to lift and throw Cyclops.
3:10 Wait a minute, the Sentinel registered Scarlet Witch as a Mutant? I know she was originally one but Marvel retconned her origin several years ago that she and Pietro were always just empowered humans. Do you think with Disney now owning the X-Men movie rights that she'll be re-retconned as a Mutant?

@@jegilvan Wanda and Pietro were revealed to never have been Mutants several years ago during AXIS (despite all the evidence in-comics beforehand). Apparently it was an executive order due to FOX owning the movie rights to the X-Men and all Mutant characters.

They retconned this shortly before Avengers Age of Ultron came out and it’s speculated the reason is because Marvel/Disney was mad at fox for owning the X-men rights (including the word mutant) so they retconned their origins in the comics and it was revealed Wanda & Pietro were never mutants but humans experimented on by the High Revolutionary and magneto also isn’t related to them.

Magneto and Juggernaut have joined forces several times in the comic books. Magneto opposes Professor X because their ideals for the future of mutantkind clash. Juggernaut opposes Professor X because they're half-brothers and, from childhood onward, Juggernaut has always been horribly envious of Professor X for several reasons: favoritism and uneven treatment from their father (up to and including Juggernaut getting cut out of the will and all the inheritance going to Professor X), Professor X's mutant powers, several previous defeats to the X-Men, and perhaps other reasons yet. Juggernaut was elated to get his hands on the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak (the source of his power), thinking that it would put his hated brother beneath him, but his repeated defeats to Professor X and the X-Men - despite the Crimson Gem's power - have only served to make him even more bitter.
So even though Juggernaut isn't a mutant, Magneto has sought his alliance in the past because, like the adage says, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend."

I dislike how they depower Psylocke into just being a telepathic ninja.. she is telepathy and telekinetic. Her telepathic ability is on par with Emma and X, and she can rearrange matter on a molecular level.
You sure she's just a "telepathic ninja" in this game? I imagine they show some of her other skills in her moves.

@@lucas-xf7rc First off, you left out his most defining and iconic trait; leadership. He's one of the most brilliant and cunning tacticians in Marvel comics. The movie's and even the 90's cartoon didn't do him justice.
Secondly, his optic blast is astounding. Concussive force that has literally knocked out must villains who underestimated his capabilities, just as you have.
Shit, his optic blast broke through Onslaught's armor, allowing Thor to bust through and save Charles Xavier from captivity. He also fought Wolverine to a standstill, in both the main universe and in AoA. How does that not make his optic blast the ultimate utility?

His love life is tricky, the writers didn't do him any favors. Let's be realistic though, the girl of your dreams dies, you move on and have a child, but subsequently she comes back to life. Then you find out the new love interest is a clone... He's dealt with some serious issues and instead of cracking and destroying the world, he handled his shit and lead his people righteously.

Im not criticizing his leadership role , but after he did have a kid and then Jean came back , he just sent hus wife and kid away like spare parts . And Emma is even weirder . Although hes a good leader , he cares more about the mission and Jean/Emma than the team itself , there was a point were beast almost died , and he cares more about an expensive câmera ( or something ) than beast himself .
Hes cool but could be cooler if writers stooped making him such a mess

Jean Grey was my favourite telepath for so long until I watched Wolverine and the Xmen and then fell in love with the complex sassy faux British Diva that is Emma Frost. I'd have loved her in this Game. She is my favourite telepath but Storm is my favourite marvel character.
