Really like this video. This is one of the best ways to support Mr Cheng Yi. I can't agree more with everything said in the video based on all I have learned in the past few months. I am a bit disturbed by some of the things that a small minority of his fans (if they are really his fans) have done. Mr Cheng Yi seems to be extremely gentle and courteous. However, those fans should not take advantage of his considerate nature and interfere with his business or career decisions. Whatever these fans have done to support him doesn't give them the authority to be his spokesperson for his decisions. However unfair they feel about things doesn't give them the right to overstep his personal boundaries. If there were not so many people (including some of his fans) keep adding their own interpretations on the little information out there, there would not be all these sensational news lately. Common sense tells me that joining the gossiping (even in the name of protecting Mr Cheng Yi) wouldn't help him, and it would only add pressure on him. Who was the first to say there are two scripts? Who was the first to say that Mr Cheng Yi doesn't want to be part of the drama? It could be that Mr Cheng Yi didn't announce because he has not made up his mind. He might want to wait until everything is settled before making any decisions. That seems to be his style. Mr Cheng Yi doesn't seems to be someone who could be forced into doing anything that he doesn't feel right. He seems to have his own principles. Otherwise, he won't have such good reputation as someone who doesn't seem to follow the mainstream culture in his entertainment circle, which appears to value background and connections much more than talents. He gets to where he is today because he knows what he wants, what is important and how to make the right decision. From all I have learned, I don't think that he is so successful today because his fans have been telling his Work Groups who to use as drama directors, producers for his dramas, and which dramas he should choose. Whatever these fans think, Mr Cheng Yi appears to be extremely intelligent and knows his own mind. He doesn't seem to be easily manipulated or broken, otherwise he wouldn't have survived the cyber bullying that has lasted 9 months. I hope these fans are not going to be manipulated by those with hidden agenda next time and learn to respect his personal boundaries. Hopefully they trust him, give him space, and allow him to make decisions at his own pace.
PS: my true feelings when I read what they have done were "Who do they think they are? Do they really think they are smarter than Mr Cheng Yi? If they are that smart, they would not believe everything on the website and add more fire to the gossiping. How can their behavior help Mr Cheng Yi in any practical ways? Do they think they have the right to speak on his behalf simply because they think they love Mr Cheng Yi the best? Do they call their emotional outbursts in the name of protecting Mr Cheng Yi "love"?" I don't feel that they were helping him at all even though I don't know his entertainment circle. If they want to help, they have to know what can be changed, what can't, not what they wish to change, otherwise they are only creating a scene to make Mr Cheng Yi look bad. Then I wish they stop calling themselves Mr Cheng Yi's fans.
